“Do You Love Clayton Morris?”

“Who is that guy?” From the mouths of babes! Fox & Friends Weekend meteorologist Janice Dean asked one more question than she should have. The Weather Machine/Dance Machine Janice Dean is always understandably touting F&F, its personalities, etc. in her “interviews” of the Everyman on the street. However, adults know “the answer”: Kids don’t!

At the end of her weather segment at the bottom of the third hour, Janice turned to the children assembled for “state fair” fun and festivities on the F&FW pavilion Sunday, asking, “Are you guys ready to play some more games?”* “Yes!,” they heartily exclaimed. Smiling, Janice queried, “Do you love it here on Fox & Friends Weekend?” A cute little girl curtly responded, “You already said that!”

With co-anchor Clayton Morris nearby, Janice pressed her luck, asking, “Do you love Clayton Morris?” Interjecting, Clayton pleaded, “Yes!” A darling lass asked, “Who is it?” Looking up at Janice, she queried, “Who is that guy?” As Janice roared with laughter, Clayton sheepishly chuckled.

“Do you love Clayton Morris?” Perchance, the answer is to whom one poses the question. To the F&FW viewer, he is probably “likeable enough” to echo a familiar phrase. As to Sara and Natali, they may differ more than a mite.

Love him or hate him, Fox & Friends Weekend itself is still a FNC fan fave!

Clayton’s Missing Wedding Ring Reappears

Again–as Carpe Diem predicted. Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Clayton Morris decided to don his connubial band again last Saturday. When Clayton’s lost his wedding ring seemingly six days earlier on F&FW Sunday, the author duly noted its absence and the lack of a tan line on his ring finger to boot in an article entitled, “Clayton’s Missing Wedding Ring: Again?” Citing Clayton’s past as probable precedent, the author predicted that Clayton would be sporting the sign of his unending love for his lovely Natali again on Saturday: He did indeed–on Saturday and Sunday.

As fans of Clayton may well remember, he likewise doffed his wedding ring almost four years ago during his first marriage to Sara Batterson. Furthermore, similarly, Carpe Diem published a post querying, “Trouble in Paradise?” Apparently, there was: Nevertheless, Clayton’s marital bling reappeared the very next show.

Hopefully, Clayton’s connubial bond is more secure this time.

Clayton’s Missing Wedding Ring: Again?

Morris’ marital “misstep.” Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Clayton Morris strangely sported no connubial band this Sunday morning: Stranger yet, FNC’s bronzed tech geek had no tan line on his ring finger. Perhaps, its absence was merely an oversight and some finger makeup was applied: after all, Clayton did just wear his marital bling yesterday. But, readers may remember that his suddenly missing wedding ring on F&FW during his first marriage to his “hot wife” Sara Morris did portend “Trouble in Paradise.”

But, hopefully, all is well with Clayton and his second lovely lady, Natali Morris nee Del Conte. After all they have two beautiful young children, almost three-year-old Miles Benjamin [vid], and one-year-old Avis Elizabeth. Nevertheless, the bad boy did get in trouble with Natali rather recently when their son Miles spilled the beans on Clayton’s probably benign trip to Hooters.

Regardless of Clayton and Natali’s state of affairs, if the past is precedent for the future, the author envisions a reappearance of Clayton’s wedding ring to his finger on the very next Fox & Friends Weekend edition.

Natali: Morris’ “Mamma Mia”

Clayton’s baby boy: Miles Benjamin Morris. As Fox & Friends Weekend began this morning, co-host Clayton Morris joyfully showed off photos of his newborn son and himself to his co-hosts, Alisyn Camerota and Dave Briggs, and to his F&FW audience. As he did, the now single Clayton expressed his elation at being a father but never showed a photo of the mother of his child nor even mentioned her. However, later, during the show, Dave let the cat out of the proverbial bag by naming her twice.

Of course, fans of Clayton have long had a good idea of the name of his presumed paramour. On April 12, Mediaite.com disclosed that it had received a tip that a married Clayton had a relationship with CNET anchor, Natali Del Conte and that she was rumored to be pregnant with their love child. (Further, the source indicated that Clayton’s wife Sara Batterson Morris had started divorce proceedings.) On June 20 (Father’s Day) on F&FW, Clayton revealed, “I’m going to be a new dad”: Only a day earlier, Natalie had Tweeted, “My mom and sister are throwing me the baby shower of the century today.”

However, recent tweets by Clayton, Natalie, and tech friend Ryan Block appeared to conclusively identity Clayton’s lady. On Monday (July 27), Clayton joyfully Tweeted, I’m better than ever. Had a son a today. Was at hospital all day. Trying to finally sleep now.” On Tuesday (July 28), Natalie Tweeted, “Excited to take my son home from the hospital today. That’s right, it’s a boy! Healthy and handsome!” Tellingly, the very next morning Wednesday, Clayton Tweeted, “I was supposed to be in today but just had my son. First night home from hospital.” Then, Thursday, in a now deleted Tweet, Ryan Block wrote, “Still catching up from Seattle, but belated congratulations to @natalidelconte and @claytonmorris on the arrival of Miles!”

If Clayton or Natali’s more casual followers were still unaware of their apparent love child, Dave Briggs appeared intent on spreading the word to them. In the final hour of F&FW, Dave and Aly seemingly surprised Clayton with footage of him changing Miles: Dave added that Miles’ mother Natali had sent in the video. If the viewer missed it the first time, Dave repeated her name. Perhaps, at the behest of Clayton, Dave began the introduction of Natali to his F&FW viewers.

Even though neither Clayton nor Natali have yet acknowledged that they have a child together publicly, to the author’s knowledge, it appears pellucidly clear that they do indeed share a son–and his name is Miles Benjamin Morris.

Clayton Gets “Help”

Fox & Friends Weekend co-anchor Clayton Morris asked for “help” on marriage Saturday: he got it the very next day. After a “divorce-risk factor” segment Saturday, co-host Alisyn Camerota promised that “good news” was on the way: in reply, Clayton commented, “Can’t wait for that. Help me out.” “Help” arrived Sunday as Aly, Clayton, and co-anchor Dave Briggs interviewed New York Times blogger Tara Parker-Pope, author of “For Better: The Science of a Good Marriage.”

Opening the colloquy, Clayton asked Parker-Pope about why the “how-we-met story [was] very important.” Ironically, she answered, “Using those different pronouns, using “we” versus “you”–those kinds of things tell you if negativity has crept into your relationship: So, telling that story can tell you a little bit about how you are feeling right now.”* (“Ironically” because, earlier this year in pre-Valentine’s Day relationship stories on the very same day, both Clayton and his then, apparently, estranged wife Sara Batterson separately embraced the “me” rather than the “we” in discussions about the implications of these personal pronouns within the marital context: Clayton, on his F&FW show, and Sara on her Brite Girl blog.) When Dave immediately followed up with “Okay, conflicts will clearly emerge,” perhaps, tellingly, Clayton chuckled heartily.

Later, as the interview ended, Clayton (perchance, preferring to deflect the audience’s attention from himself) impishly jested, “Will you [Parker-Pope] autograph that copy for Dave?” Smiling and shaking his head, Dave exclaimed, “I have a great marriage!” Subsequently, self-effacingly, Clayton deadpanned, “Actually, could I borrow this?” As he grabbed the book, Clayton continued, “I think I need to read this.” Emphatically, Dave quipped, “Yes! Read up!” (As F&FW went to commercials, Clayton obeyed, comically opened up the book and acted as if he were.)

When the show returned from the ad break, Clayton “still” had his head in the book as if in profound concentration. Addressing the viewer,  a teasing Aly commented, “Clayton’s engrossed in reading about good marriages, the science of it.”** Puckishly, Dave sniped, “Yeah. He’s got a lot to learn, folks.”

Whether he does or not, Clayton’s may well have his own autographed copy by now–courtesy of his rumored girlfriend, CNET TV host Natali Del Conti.

Kilmeade: “You’re the Anti-Clayton”

Was Fox & Friends co-anchor Brian Kilmeade so accusing Carpe Diem yesterday? (The author was cited by Mediaite Monday for the “backstory” on its apparent scoop of F&F Weekend co-host Clayton Morris’ love life? No, actually, F&F’s double entendre don was directing that declaration toward his co-anchor Gretchen Carlson after she facetiously claimed to “know so much about technology.”* When to Brian’s jest, the conservative former Miss America responded, “No, I would love to be Clayton,” this viewer did wonder if, perhaps, a little subtle F&F damage control had already begun.

As cable news junkies doubtlessly know by now, Monday Mediaite disclosed, “Here’s the tip, and here’s the info we have: Clayton Morris, co-host of Fox & Friends, has an extramarital affair with CNET host, Natali del Conte…rumors circulating that he is the father of pregnant Del Conte. Wife of Clatyon [Sara Batterson Morris] has filed for divorce.” Mediate further reported that sources had indicated that Del Conte was gravid and that her pregnancy had been a matter of discussion at Fox News. The media news blog added that it had “reached out to Del Conte” and Fox News: even though a statement from Del Conte apparently was not forthcoming, a Fox News spokesperson tersely stated, “We don’t comment on the personal lives of talent.”

Carpe Diem has contacted Clayton but he has not made a reply for the record yet. When/if the popular Fox & Friends responds with a statement for his F&F fans and his Twitter followers, the author will fully and fairly report it. Hopefully, he will soon.
