Ainsley Pleads for Kidney

March 31, 2016

Earhardt: “My mom needs a kidney….She’s O-negative if you want to give a kidney.” Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt got emotional after the final hour opening which included a tease about someone who was “donating to a [total] stranger” his kidney. Ainsley exclaimed, “That’s amazing! My mom needs a kidney. She’s on the list.”

Turning to Ainsley, co-host Steve Doocy queried, “She does?” Ainsley answered, “She does. She has diabetes type-1.” Appearing to tear up as she looked into the camera, Ainsley raised both of her hands toward her audience, pleading, “She’s O-negative if you want to give a kidney.”

Elaborating, Ainsley continued, saying, “I’m not a match. I know.” Looking sympathetically at Ainsley, Steve replied, “That’s hard.” Closing her eyes at the thought and trying to reassure herself, Ainsley responded, “But, it’s okay; she will get one; she’s on the list; and it will be okay.”

Ainsley, the author hopes that your mom gets her life-saving kidney–perhaps, from one of your F&F fans. And, dear reader, if you have a matching blood type and wish to donate to Ainsley mom, you can contact Ainsley at https://twitter.com/ainsleyearhardt. Smitten Ainsley Sexes It Up

March 29, 2016

For People Magazine’s “Sexiest Vet.” Yesterday, Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt was very demure for her fans but she finally showed some skin for her hunky guest, veterinarian Dr. Evan Antin. Yes, that South Carolina Southern belle was clearly smitten.

As Ainsley opened the show in the first hour, she tugged repeatedly at the hem of her dress–four times (a double tug, for good measure), to be exact–to make sure that it virtually hugged her knees. And, she demurely did so for almost the entirety of the show until she interviewed her beefcake eye candy [vid]: Then, she gladly bared her gorgeous gams for Dr. Antin, chyronned “‘Sexiest Vet Alive’: People Magazine Picks Out Hot Doctor.” No pulling down of the hem then: Perhaps, even a flirty hike!

The irony is that it was really no big deal. The Ainsley of old was never one shy of flaunting her sexy stems: But, when she joined F&F as its official co-anchor, she said that she could not fill very family-friendly Elisabeth Hasselbeck‘s shoes but she certainly seemed to try her best to follow in the footsteps of her predecessor who platonically deemed her co-hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade “brothers.” Likewise, Ainsley has seemed to try to tamp down the sexual tension that characterized F&F with “FoxesE. D. Hill and Gretchen Carlson (not to mention guest co-hosts like Kiran Chetry, Alisyn Camerota, and Anna Kooiman) and their co-anchors Steve and Brian (who famously once swatted Aly’s lovely derriere).

For the reader who whines that Fox & Friends is strictly “NEWS,” s/he should remember that it is not. As the current senior executive vice president of FNC Bill Shine apprised the NYT, F&F “falls under the network’s entertainment umbrella and does not pretend to be straight news.” To whit, F&F is edutainment: Get the news with a fun, flirty twist to start your morn!

Ainsley’s Dream: F&F Finally

March 25, 2016

A month later: Too banal for breakfast or just right? Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt has definitely paid her FNC dues: As Glamour.com chronicles, Ainsley did overnight shifts on weekends; updates on the hour on weekday shows, e.g., Hannity; a short-lived stint as co-anchor of Fox & Friends Weekend; and, most recently, co-anchor of Fox & Friends First. And, finally, Ainsley landed her dream job, co-host of Fox & Friends.

But, now, Ainsley has to show her mettle: She has to prove that she has what it takes to successfully co-host cable news morning champ Fox & Friends. Previously, Ainz failed to do so when she co-anchored F&F Weekend with fellow tyros Clayton Morris and Dave Briggs: As faithful FNC viewers may well remember, former F&FW co-host and FNC utility player Alisyn Camerota had to return to the show to right the F&FW listing ship and to show the boys the ropes. After her subsequent stint as co-host of Fox & Friends First, hopefully, Ainsley has learned what tack to take: If she falters this time, at least,  she has seasoned veterans Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade on whom to fall back.

Even though Ainsley may not be the sharpest knife in the F&F drawer, she does seem to be one of the sweetest seasonings in the cupboard. Lately, the Southern belle has seemed to almost ape [split infinitive intended] her predecessor counterpart Northerner Elisabeth Hasselbeck. A little too saccharine for the author’s taste–not too mention a mite too modest post her brief Fox & Friends Weekend gig: But, she does seem to have the best of intentions to make Ailes proud and her viewers happy.

Sex it up, Ainsley! Don’t let the boys be the main reason that your viewers tune in in the morning. That’s never a good thing!

Did Tucker Say “Fuc*” on F&FW?

March 20, 2016

Carlson: “Fuc*, it doesn’t matter.” Sunday, Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Tucker Carlson appeared to have had enough of the Trump “haters” when it came to The Donald’s right to speak. In a segment pertaining to anti-Trump protesters trying to shut down Trump’s speech in Arizona, Tucker went on a tirade:

He said, “So, if the point of this is this is a not a big deal, I, I respectfully disagree: I think it is a big deal….It’s chaotic, it’s crazy. And, one way to slow it down would be for leaders on both sides, Republicans and Democrats, to say, ‘You can’t use force: That’s off the table.” I’m sorry there’s a huge difference between peaceful legitimate protest and mob violence. And, it’s crossing the line, and Republicans have blamed Trump for this; [and] Democrats are blaming Trump for this. Fuc*! It doesn’t matter what he says: He has a right to say it. Period.”

When Tucker said, “Fuc*!,” it appeared that producers hit the bleep button to mute the “k,” at least.

“Fuc*” on F&F Weekend? Not necessarily the worst exclamation that Tucker has ever uttered. But, he might be regretting this one on Palm Sunday.

Kiran Chetry: Reverend?

March 17, 2016

Kiran: “I’m officially a minister!” Believe it or not, former CNN/FNC anchor Kiran Chetry announced that she has joined the clergy. The Nepali lovely Tweeted, “I’m officially a minister! Got ordained to preside over my best friend’s wedding. God bless!!” Just two minutes later, the enchanting beauty added, “Lady @ NY city clerks [sic] office was kind enough to snap a pic of me signing the official clergy ledger!”

Reverend Kiran Chetry? She is surely someone who would make even the most heathen among her followers attend a service. But, could one really concentrate on her message? Perhaps, not: But, one would certainly take notice of the pastoral pulchritude!

Kiran: A ray of light–as always!

Megyn Kelly: Trump Target?

March 17, 2016

Janice Dean: “This obsession with @megynkelly is disturbing and not presidential. Please stop. @realDonaldTrump.” Thus, came FNC meteorologist Janice Dean to the defense of her colleague and friend Megyn Kelly, host of FNC’s prime-time The Kelly File. Janice was not amused in the least with The Donald’s Tweet, saying, “Highly overrated & crazy @megynkelly is always complaining about Trump and yet she devotes her shows to me. Focus on others Megyn!”

As long-time Carpe Diem readers know, Janice and Megyn are FNC faves of the author: That said, Trump is a strange cat. Republican front runner Donald J. Trump has an eerie, incisive sense of what the populace apparently wants to be said and/or to to be done. And, Trump is the Energizer Bunny of the GOP base. And, he does not give a tinker’s damn what JAG/Senator Lindsey Graham, failed GOP standard bearer Mitt Romney, or even what W. thinks. And, he sure as heck does not care a whit what an FNC anchor opines. He is just that way: If in doubt, ask his bud Bill O’Reilly.

The Donald is a force to be reckoned with. He is a street fighter: In other words, when you hit him, he is going to hit you back HARD–repeatedly. He does not care what race, gender, etc. that you are. He is going to take you out if he perceives that you are a threat–or even if you just took the first shot.

Hopefully, Trump will dial it back a bit: But, Megyn will have to do the same. Hopefully, a little rapprochement is in the offing. If not, it will make for good TV–and good ratings.

Clayton’s Natali Preggers?

March 5, 2016

Oops! Sandra Smith asks, “Don’t you [Clayton] have one on the way?” Last Saturday, Fox & Friends Weekend guest co-anchor Sandra Smith appeared to let F&FW co-anchor Clayton Morris‘s proverbial cat out of the bag. During a segment featuring Toys/Babies-R-Us trade-in deals, including old car seats (with consumer-savings expert Andrea Woroch), Sandra turned to Clayton exclaiming, “Are you listening to this! Because don’t you have one on the way?”*

Deftly, Clayton simply answered, “I’m listening!” N.B. Clayton ignored Sandra’s last query.

Apparently, Clayton was listening to psychic medium Laura Lynne Jackson when she did a twenty-minute psychic reading for him about three and half months ago (vid). Speaking to a very attentive Clayton, the author of “The Light Between Us” said, “The first thing I want to tell you is that they [Clayton’s deceased relatives including his grandmother] are showing me is that there is this beautiful…green path coming up: Green signifies for me change, openness, new energy, new ideas. As we go into April, changes are going to happen here but they are going to be great for you. So, just remember I’m saying this!

Elaborating, Jackson declared, “I don’t want to get personal but there is a possibility for a third [child]….There is a point of light waiting but this will be your choice to let it through or not: But I think that you are going to let it through.”

Exclaiming, Clayton replied, “Wow!”

Wow indeed, Clayton! It appears that your psychic was right. If so, congratulations, Clayton and Natali, on number three!

*Fox & Friends Weekend – 02/27/16 (@ 7:24 a.m. ET).

[Author’s aside: Re his reading, Clayton clearly showed that he took it very seriously: The aforementioned vid shows not only a portion of Clayton’s reading by the medium psychic Jackson but also his very emotional response to it.]
