Kiran’s Lucky Guy

July 29, 2017

“My hubby Isaac Greaney.” This morning comely former CNN/FNC morning news anchor Kiran Chetry announced that she has remarried. In a Tweet to her followers, she wrote, “Congrats to my hubby Isaac Greaney head of @sidleyaustin team & rest of @SwimAcrossSound cmte for success @SAAswim.”

Why is Kiran’s guy lucky? Obviously, his Nepalese lovely is brilliant, sharp, and sexy. Not to mention altruistic. Last night, she Tweeted a video of her finishing her “2K @SAAswim today” with a tease of “big event is tomorrow.” Today, she Tweeted, “Not a swimmer. But I did it! For @SAAswim and the fight against cancer.” And, yes, Kiran was in fine form in her black bikini as she did her 2K (vid) and the big event (pic).

Who is Kiran’s lucky guy? As to his vocation, Greaney is a “partner in Sidley’s litigation group in New York” who joined the firm in 2004 and “has focused his practice on commercial litigation and disputes according to Sidney.com (which includes his pic). Re Greaney’s firm, its Sidley.com site indicates that it is a 150-year-old firm that “comprises a diverse group of legal professionals from many cultures who are dedicated to teamwork, collaboration and superior client service.” According to Greaney’s Twitter account, (which includes a second photo), he is from New York City.

Best wishes, Kiran! And, congratulations, Isaac!

New Day Gets Dirty

July 28, 2017

Gay Cantone makes Cuomo uncomfortable: I only got up…for him because he promised me sex!” New Day co-hosts Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota had NO idea what they were getting into this morning as they welcomed Mario Cantone who plays [vid] Anthony Scaramucci on Comedy Central’s The President Show to their CNN curvy couch.* In fact, Aly got a salacious unsolicited plug for her new book, Amanda Wakes Up.

After introducing Cantone, Aly gushed, “Great to see you!” Looking at his watch, he vociferously queried, “What time is it? What time do you kids get up in the morning?” Laughing, Aly answered, “This is late for us.”

Gesticulating animatedly, Cantone declared, “This is brutal!” Pointing to Chris, he exclaimed, “I only got up for you!” Turning to Aly and pointing anew at Chris, Cantone continued, “For him, because he promised me sex! That’s why I got up!”

Blushing, Aly turned to Chris with her hand to her mouth, whispering, “O my god!” As she elbowed Chris in the arm playfully, Chris jokingly deflected, “With you!” Having none of Chris’s diversion, Cantone picked up the CNN couch table flower vase and moved closer toward Chris, saying, “Thank you for the lovely flowers! Thank you for the flowers, Chris! I appreciate it!”

After that uproarious opening, they dutifully discussed Cantone’s shows, its political import. Yada, yada, yada.

But, when the segment and show concluded, the hilarity returned. Cavone looked down at Aly’s book and then looked up at her, exclaiming, “Good luck on your book!” Beaming, Aly replied, “Thank you!”

Bawdily, Cavone jested, “What’s it called? Amanda Wakes Up with an Erection? Giggling uncontrollably, a reddening Aly exclaimed, “Oh, my god!” Striking Cavone on the shoulder with the back of her hand, she laughed, “Get you a new beach read, you dirty, dirty mind! Hugging Cavone and giving him a kiss on the cheek, she remarked, “You’re so great!”

Yes, it was vintage Aly and the boys on the Fox & Friends Weekend curvy couch. Oops, change of venue. Today, it was Aly and the boys on the New Day curvy couch!

Aly Goes Ballistic!

July 12, 2017

That was weird: Approximately 47 minutes before Carpe Diem posted, “Aly Goes Silent,” New Day co-host Alisyn Camerota had gone ballistic! In a CNN article entitled, “Alisyn Camerota: Why I’m Breaking Up with Twitter,” Aly goes on a rather rabid rant, declaring, “Dear Twitter (attn: trolls), It’s over. I’m breaking up with you. I know it’s sad. We’ve been together a long time.”

Elaborating, Aly writes, “You’re a shadow of your former self, the one I was first attracted to. It’s no fun to be with you anymore. You’ve become mean and verbally abusive. In fact, you gross me out. You’re a cesspool of spleen-venting from people who think it’s acceptable to insult other people in public and anonymously.”

Realizing, perchance, how her harshness may need to be abated re her fans, she remarks, ” I don’t mean to be harsh. Occasionally, you do let a nice, thoughtful person sneak through with a positive comment or constructive criticism. And I want you to know how much those messages have meant to me…. For years, these comments made all the negativity worth it — especially coming from those users who stood up for me and fought the trolls on my behalf. God bless them.”

But, then, perchance to her devoted Fox & Friends Weekend fans, she remarks or, more charitably, her harsher critics, Aly continues, “Of course, some of this is my fault. I’ve been leading you on. I’ve made you think I like you more than I really do. The truth is, I haven’t cared about you for a long time — in fact, I’ve been avoiding you.” Cutting to the quick, she adds, “I go weeks at a time without reading you, leaving you to prattle on thinking you have my attention….So, I’m done. I’m moving on. I’m looking for something else, something real and lasting.”

Offering a sop to her besotted loving acolytes, she promises, “And to the tens of thousands of folks who took time to follow me, I trust we’ll find a kinder place to reconnect.”

Hope you really will, Aly.

Aly Goes Silent

July 11, 2017

NYT: “Some [CNN] hosts have considered abandoning their social media accounts because of abuse.” Apparently, New Day co-host Alisyn Camerota has abandoned her Twitter Tweeps for the security of a “foxhole” at CNN. But, seemingly, her co-anchor Chris Cuomo has her covered for the time being.

The author noticed this morning that he was following one less person and/or entity. When he investigated, he realized it was none other than the lovely Aly whom he had followed for virtual aeons in Twitter time. When he went to @AlisynCamerota, the site simply said, “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!” When he checked @NewDay and clicked on the @AlisynCamerota link it said the same. However, the @ChrisCuomo link worked as usual.

Guess Aly was one of those CNN hosts that abandoned her social media accounts (at least, Twitter). Post President Trump’s win, Aly has seemed to take the loss of the 2016 Democratic party standard bearer–personally. The lovely Aly seems always to be smirking, rolling her eyes, or evidencing some negative body language when she interviews a pro-Trump interviewee: And, the panels always appear to bash Trump relentlessly to the delight of her and Chris. Not to mention the “Russia, Russia, Russia” meme.

Aly and Chris, it may be painful: But, it is time to move on. Donald J. Trump is the forty-fifth President. And, you need to start covering what Americans care about, i.e., their economic, physical, and existential well-being. Buck up!

Chris Cuomo Finally Admits CNN Anti-Trump

July 11, 2017

Kellyanne Conway: “You guys have made a business decision to be anti-Trump.” New Day co-host Chris Cuomo‘s concurred, “And, you guys have also made a decision.” [Italics added for emphasis]. Wow!

It was a rare moment in media history when Chris admitted to his viewers that CNN had made a business decision to be anti-Trump instead of being unbiased in its coverage of POTUS. For political junkies, the practically thirty-five-minute interview was practically partisan polemic porn. The two fought with a Coliseum-like feral ferocity showcasing CNN honcho Jeff Zucker’s early morn co-anchor Chris with the first successful Presidential campaign manager Kellyanne.  The New York Cuomo scion versus the New Jersey girl scrapper: And, the girl ate the boy’s lunch.

Epic must-see TV! Especially the last few minutes. Vid, supra, may be NSFW depending on your workplace. Enjoy at your own risk!
