“I’m always looking for the wardrobe malfunction.” Red Eye guest host, “TV’s Andy Levy,” nailed it when he introduced FNC’s NYSE correspondent Nicole Petallides as the “Stocks Fox” in her guest appearance on RE Tuesday. Perhaps, flattered by the apt appellation, the toned, bronzed beauty served it up with her usual sensual sass and her “2 Hot 4 F&FW” gorgeous gams.
Clad in a short, sleeveless blue dress and sexy strappy inky stilettos, Nicole owned RE‘s leg chair with flair. Not only was she the continuous cynosure of the camera but also she was the seductive siren of the airwaves–especially, during the Oscars review segment. Viz., Nicole could not let Angelina Jolie’s leg or Jennifer Lopez’s nip go without either a saucy display or a concupiscent comment.
When “TV’s Andy Levy” expressed his bewilderment as to Angelina’s jaunty display of her stem at the Academy Awards, Nicole concurred, “A little odd that she kept putting her leg out. It was all sort of like, so weird! Weird!”* As the cam panned out to show her full figure, Nicole sensually crossed her own sexy stems as the shot lingered. Then, as if acknowledging her acolytes’ adoration, the Greek goddess chuckled to herself and broke into a broad smile.
Subsequently, when the discussion turned to Jennifer Lopez’s apparent nip slip, Nicole naughtily remarked, “I’m always looking for the wardrobe malfunction.”As a pulchritudinous photo of a questionably covered J.Lo appeared on the screen, she (Levy and the other panelists) seemed to enjoy the view–but could not quite decide of just what. Meanwhile, viewers may have may have pruriently recalled RE‘s newly dubbed Stocks Fox’s own “angelic exhibition,” i.e., her double F&FW hem hike.**
Nicole Petallides: FNC’s “Stocks Fox” rocks.

Well, it‘s terrible.” Today Early Start co-anchor Ashleigh Banfield demanded that her co-host Zoraida Sambolin do what she seems to too oft not do, i.e., react–or, at least, say more. Perhaps, Ashleigh feared that “Page 6” [updated February 2] sources may indeed be right: the two of them “just don’t gel”–she “talks to much” and Zoraida “doesn’t say enough.”
Early this morning, when Zoraida read a headline news story (about an octogenarian veteran who had been brutally carjacked by an assailant and subsequently had been largely ignored by bystanders), Ashleigh shook her head and exclaimed, “Makes you sick!” As Zoraida succinctly answered, “It’s, it’s pathetic,” Ashleigh gesticulated somewhat histrionically and emotively elaborated, “‘A,’ that he’s a vet; ‘b,’ that he’s an elderly gentleman; ‘c,’ that he was carjacked in front of everybody; and ‘d,’ that people walked right by. Please! Am I outraged enough!” As Zoraida rather sedately remarked, “Oh, it’s terrible,” Ashleigh demanded, “React!”
In response, Zoraida softly said, “Well, it’s terrible.” Without so much as a verbal reply to her co-host, Ashleigh incongruently chuckled and turned to the camera. Then, to her ES audience, she simply said, “It’s twenty-three minutes past five. Uh, let’s get you up to speed on your early reads.”
Guess it’s still Ground Hog Day at ES.

Logan: “Isn’t she lovely?” Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Dave Briggs and his wife Brandi welcomed their newest daughter, Logan Briggs, to their family yesterday, Valentine’s Day. To the tune of Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely?” this morning, F&F co-anchor Brian Kilmeade announced the birth of Logan as producers aired the “Shot of the Day,” a lovely sleeping Logan wearing a cute pink hoodie and swaddled in a cozy baby blanket. Dave and Brandi’s literal bundle of love weighed 6 lbs. 11 oz. Logan is the youngest of three: her sibs include older sister Emerson and big brother William. Her doting dad dubbed her “my Valentine.”
Dave, remember that bottle of Dom that you “promised” on F&FW Sunday to give Brandi if she had it on Valentine’s Day: she certainly deserves it. Congratulations, Dave and Brandi!
[Author’s aside: Yesterday, Dave gave his Twitter followers the real scoop, Tweeting, “Briggs boys are officially outnumbered! Baby Logan is my Valentine, 6 lbs-11 ounces, 20.5 inches. http://lockerz.com/s/183869846.”%5D
*Fox & Friends – 02/15/12 (@ 6:31 a.m. ET)
Update: Dave revealed Logan’s middle name on F&FW this morning (February 19): it is Pauline. F&FW – 02/19/12 (@ 6:03 a.m. ET)
Update 2: Carpe Diem correction. Even though Dave announced the birth of Logan in a Valentine Day Tweet and called her his Valentine, she was actually born a day earlier. After the “Shot of the Day,” actually multiple pics of Dave’s newborn, Juliet queried, “She was born the day before Valentine’s Day, wasn’t she?” Dave answered, “She was born on Monday. Yeah, we almost had a Valentine baby.” F&FW – 02/19/12 (@ 7:33 a.m. ET)

As Aly languishes on it? Comely FNC correspondent Anna Kooiman jolted Fox & Friends Weekend‘s audience wide awake yesterday as she made her appearance on the curvy couch in her micro-sleeved short purple dress. After three-and-half hours of a more demure co-host Alisyn Camerota qua Valentine marm (in her bright red midi with long sleeves sans decolletage) and an unexplained no-show Victoria’s Secret model, the tanned and toned Fox News newbie more than took up the slack for the viewers in her segment on the caffeine inhalant Aeroshot.
As expected, the former Fox Charlotte (WCCB) anchor ably corresponded on the controversial “drug”: But, Anna also brought her unique brand of sexy energy to the segment as she personally experimented with Aeroshot. Concluding her report on the curvy couch, she offered samples to the co-hosts (Clayton Morris, Dave Briggs, and Aly). Scowling somewhat, Aly responded, “I’m not going to. I don’t do caffeine. I’m off caffeine”: however, her apparently Coolidge-effected co-hosts were more than happy to take a “hit” with the new blond beauty on the F&F curvy couch.
The fit new fox on Fox News? Anna: A real F&FW hit.

Symone Black’s frightening fall: Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust”? Fox & Friends producers and co-anchors Brian Kilmeade and Steve Doocy seemed “Cold as Ice” early this morning about sixteen-year-old contestant Symone Black’s scary tumble from the American Idol stage. When producers teased the upcoming story (as the “A” block ended), they aired video of Symone’s stumbling from the stage and her subsequent crumpling onto the floor as Brian blithely boomed, “And, you’ve seen the American Idol auditions that just fell flat: But, this girl took it to a whole new level.” Then, when the fall was shown for the second time to the tune of Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust,” Steve coarsely jested, “Kaboom!” To make matters, after F&F producers let the footage run longer to show stunned judges Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson, and Jennifer Lopez looking on in horror at an injured Symone (laying in the fetal position and cradling her head), they quickly added one last fall for good measure right before the commercial break.
“Another One Bites the Dust”? Yikes! That crass F&F promo certainly should have.

Christine: Hunh. I’ll take that as a compliment. Last Friday, Early Start co-host Ashleigh Banfield demoted CNN biz beauty Christine Romans from “Mayor of the Morning” to her “favorite nerd.” Maybe, Starting Point anchor Soledad O’Brien has had a word with Ashleigh.
Approximately a month ago, as ES just got off the ground, newbie Ashleigh fawningly called her CNN colleague Christine (and her immediate predecessor qua American Morning interim co-host) “Mayor of the Morning.” Subsequently, Carpe Diem noted the fact and Ashleigh has since seemed to surcease using the adoring appellation for her “idol.” However, last Friday, Ashleigh appeared to find a new one, i.e., nerd, to the chagrin of Christine.
After Ashleigh introduced the biz beauty’s January jobs report began, a goofy Christine remarked, “You thought it was [the] Super Bowl [that] was a big thing coming up. For me, it’s the Super Bowl of indicators.” In reply, Ashleigh aptly riposted, “You are such a nerd!” Smiling, Christine concurred, “I know. And, that’s the jobs report: I can’t help it.”
When Christine concluded her story, the Palin-bespectacled Cannuck chuckled, “You are my favorite nerd! That’s all I have to say.” Rolling her eyes upwords, a less-than-convincing Christine concluded, “Hunh. I’ll take that as a compliment.” As vid of the upcoming segments began to run and Ashleigh’s co-host Zoraida Sambolin began to tease them, an off-camera voice (sounding identical to Christine) reassuringly whispered, “Don’t worry about it.”
Apparently, Christine is not as keen on her latest title. However, she seems to have given Ashleigh a pass this time. Maybe, she, too, has had a word from Soledad.

“If you want to yap..go watch it [the Super Bowl]…with the ladies in the kitchen.”* This morning, Fox News Weekend co-host Dave Briggs put his seemingly chauvinistic big foot in his mouth again this morning with another diss to the “ladies.” Unfortunately, neither he nor his TV wife Alisyn Camerota could quite successfully extract it.
During a segment entitled “Surviving a Super Bowl Party,” Dave declared that a Wall Street Journal author had called the game a “no shushing event.” Then, he scoffed, “I have to take issue with this….I’m not there for the commercials like my friend [Aly] here. I’m there for the game and the commentary. I don’t want you yapping!” Looking into the camera at his audience directly (and then at Aly), he regrettably remarked, “If you want to yap out[side] of the commercials, go watch it in [sic] the other TV with the ladies in the kitchen.”
Not all of Dave’s F&FW audience were overly amused. One such viewer, Nicole Pinkham, took issue with Dave’s errant aside, Tweeting, “@davebriggstv @ClaytonMorris @AlyatFox Dave…you did not just say “watch with the ladies in the kitchen”…really?!?…c’mon man!!!” Coming “dutifully” to Dave’s defense, Aly artfully answered, “He was probably just dissin me!” Not helping himself in the least, Dave daftly added, “All the ladies at my party watch in the kitchen.”
Dave, Dave, were those “ladies” at your party driven there by their hubbies who would not let them drive either?
[Author’s aside: Long-time viewers of Fox & Friends Weekend may remember the significance of the author’s final gibe at poor Dave’s expense. Slightly over three years ago, Carpe Diem took the F&FW co-anchor to task for saying, “I love my wife, and I don’t let her drive,” and his subsequent inept explanation, “I have to clarify: I do let my wife drive whenever she wants—just not when I’m in the car.” In response to the author, Dave defensively declared, “My wife can do whatever she wants whenever she wants. I made an attempt [at] a joke, albeit a poor one….No man who marries a strong, smart, driven lawyer [Brandi Moreland] is a chauvinist.” And, dear reader, he probably is not: But, his comments today certainly did not further his case.]

“My theme song.” Yesterday, Starting Point host Soledad O’Brien seemed more than satisfied with her new morning show—so much so, that she practically begged thrice-Grammy-nominated R& B singer Ledisi to be able to use her song “Bravo” as SP‘s theme song. After Soledad started her last SP segment with Ledisi’s “Raise Up,” she said, “If I could get a little portion of America to love Ledisi as I do, it would be a very good thing but, I really would like ‘Bravo.’ For some reason, we can’t play it. I don’t think we have the right to it.” Then, looking straight into the camera, she pleaded, “So, Ledisi, Tweet me. Can we have the rights to “Bravo” as my theme song? Call you later.”
Fortunately, CNN appears more ambivalent about Soledad’s new show. According to the New York Post‘s “Page Six,” one source said that “executives are looking to support Soledad O’Brien…and have expressed interest in adding [regular panelists] conservative commentator Will Cain and liberal commentator Roland Martin to the cast.” But, “Page Six” also indicated that an unnamed CNN representative denied it saying, “We couldn’t be more pleased with Soledad and the direction she is taking her program. Her newsmaking interviews and substantive panel discussions are the centerpiece of the program.”
Unfortunately, for CNN, Soledad’s show (which replaced in part the now kaput American Morning) has not gained traction with CNN viewers. In fact, if early ratings are any indication, it will lay even lower in the cable news morning cellar than it’s predecessor AM–for good reason. Regrettably, SP is proving to be not as good as AM: instead of a program where co-hosts had, at least, the patina of objectivity, CNN has an unabashedly opinionated sole anchor, who never fails to remind her panelists and her viewers that SP is “my show.” Nevertheless, CNN would make matters even worse if CNN were to give the soft-spoken milquetoast Will Cain and the obstreperous, cocksure Roland Martin even more prominent roles as Soledad’s co-hosts on Starting Point.
Bravo for SP? No. At least, not in the foreseeable future.
H/t to J$P for “Page Six” alert.
