Steve Doocy: “Please laugh!”

February 4, 2016

Jeb Bush: “Please Clap!” This morning, Fox & Friends seemed to signal the end of the Jeb Bush candidacy to be the Presidential standard barrier for the GOP. Not that “JEB!” necessarily needed the hint.

Today, F&F seemed to indicate Bush 3 was toast–as if anyone else needed to know, too. At the bottom of the first F&F hour, producers aired a segment of “The Tonight Show” Jimmy Fallon ridiculing Bush scion “JEB!” as someone who “still knows how to work a crowd.”* In the painful snippet, Jeb said, “I think the next President needs to be a lot quieter but send a signal that we’re prepared to act in the national security interests of this country: To get back in the business of creating a more peaceful world. Please clap!”

After Fallon bowled over in laughter in the clip after the Bush bumble, he derisively remarked, “For the love of God, can I get a, like an awkward cough, anything, a nod? Can you move? Come on!”

When the camera returned to co-host Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade and co-host Sandra Smith, Steve deadpanned, “Boy, that was funny! Please laugh!”

Ducking his head sheepishly, Brian replied, “Right!” Chiming in, Sandra exclaimed, “Uncomfortable!” Coming to the defense of the brother of his sometimes golfing buddy, 43, Brian stammered, “Well, look! In some polls, he’s as high as uh, uh second place in New Hampshire.”

Incredulous, Steve retorted, “Really? What polls?”

Smiling unconvincingly, Brian replied, “He’s coming up!”

Chiding Steve for his frankness, a smiling Sandra chided, “Now! Now!”

Poor JEB! When his only defense is from Kilmeade, a “W” acolyte a la former White House press secretary Dana Perino of The Five, things are not looking up for the Bush dynasty. Or, the GOP establishment.

“Please clap!,” or, “please laugh”! That’s the divide of the GOP–and the FNC.

Anna: “I’m Happy for the Opportunity”

January 18, 2016

Kilmeade: “You’re doing great!” Fox & Friends Weekend co-anchor Anna Kooiman does double duty and the Fox & Friends weekday boys seem to like it. Today, Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy opened the show, remarking, “Brian [Kilmeade], you know, you and I took off over the weekend, and she’s still here!”

Grinning Puckishly as ever, Brian replied, “It’s unbelievable!”

Smiling sweetly, Steve replied, “Anna has worked about twenty straight days. God bless her!”

Flattered, a chagrined Anna chuckled, “No, it hasn’t been that long! I’m happy for the opportunity! Thanks for having me on the couch!”

Aptly, Brian answered, “Yeah, you’re doing great!”

Indeed, Anna has been doing great as the “girl in the middle” on the F&F curvy couch as of late: And, she seems to be ready to take the reins without any real competition.

But, if Anna does take Elisabeth Hasselbeck‘s erstwhile spot on the F&F curvy couch, the obvious question is who will replace the vivacious blond beauty in the F&FW center seat.

Since Anna is reigning on both the F&F and F&FW curvy couches rather than having subs, e.g., Nicole Petallides, Kimberly Guilfoyle, etc., help her out, one begins to wonder if the FNC suits are waiting for F&F First co-anchor Ainsley Earhardt to return from maternity leave and to retake her old spot on the F&F Weekend curvy couch to ease the transition for Anna from the weekend to the weekday.

Between opinionated alpha male Tucker Carlson and peevish beta male Clayton Morris, Ainsley just might be that next sweet Southern belle that can continue to make F&FW work.

Huddy: “Good Riddance”

January 2, 2016

Juliet: “I got a good one now!” Fox & Friends Weekend guest co-host Juliet Huddy returned to the curvy couch two days after Christmas 2015 with thoughts of one of her naughty boys–and her nice Mr. Wright [pic].

Introducing a segment subtitled, “Breaking ‘App’: New Apps Will Dump Significant Other for You” (during the holidays), Juliet stammered, “There’s a whole new little caveat to this si, sick holiday thing!”* Turning to Juliet, guest co-anchor Ed Henry chimed in, “You’re not dating the right guys!”

Chuckling, Juliet replied, “Well, I wasn’t, maybe.” Ed riposted, “You should make them pay for dinner.” Giving Ed the Heisman move, Juliet answered, “We don’t want even to go there. Trust me!”

Apparently, reassuring her current hubby, Mr. Wright (Steve), Juliet laughed, “I got a good one now!”

Contrasting her now nice guy with an earlier naughty flame, Juliet queried, “Have you ever been broken up with…through a text or something like that?” When Ed answered, “No!,” Juliet replied, “Well, I have been!”

Concluding the segment, the once slighted Juliet opined, “My theory is [that] if you are broken up with somebody via that way, then good riddance! Good riddance!”

Good news for Mr. Wright this holiday season: He was still on Juliet’s “nice” list!

Surfer Girl: Anna’s “Beach” Bum

December 13, 2015

Lucky Ricky on cam! Flirty Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Anna Kooiman shows this morn why she is certainly earning her seat on the curvy couch. Even though she may not have been brave enough to ride the “hover board” on the show itself, she did Tweet her  very first ride on it afterwards. [Anna’s “1st time” vid.] As she gained confidence simple riding it down a F&FW hallway, the short-skirted siren transmogrified from F&FW co-host to sexy chanteuse and”danseuse,” sultrily singing the Beach Boys’ hit “Surfin’ Safari” and sensually dancing to the beat atop her “hover board.”

Then, Anna’s video ends–unfortunately. But, she did provide a clue to what was to come. Accompanying her Tweeted vid (which was filmed by F&FW meteorologist Rick Reichmuth, Anna wrote, “1st time on hover board! Taken before I busted my bum trying to dismount. @rickreichmuth on camera! @foxandfriends.”

Lucky Ricky! “Back to the Future”: Post F&FW‘s beloved Alisyn Camerota, Anna is beginning to create “vintage F&FW.” Now, Anna’s fans eagerly await the real “director’s cut,” i.e., the uncut version!

Huddy’s Rough Return to F&FW

December 9, 2015

Juliet: “I’d like to keep my job but trust me if they could read my mind…” Yow! Guest Fox & Friends Weekend guest co-host Juliet Huddy had a rather frosty reception Sunday morning in her return to the curvy couch. Subbing for sweet, smart, and sexy Southern F&FW co-anchor Anna Kooiman, Juliet brought her usual snarky, snide–yet sexy–take to the table. And, it was not as well received by her audience as she might like.

Before the show began, Juliet Tweeted, “You’re welcome to wake up early today and check me out on Fox News 6-10 am! (Sans the Fox5 crew…). When F&FW did begin, co-hosts Tucker Carlson and Clayton Morris welcomed her to the curvy couch: Joyfully, she responded, “Good to be back! Good to be back! Always good to be here!”

Alas, it was not to be.

During the show, Juliet oft cited her friends who had voted for the President twice and who said that they were tired of his saying what Islam is and what Islam wasn’t and of his talking about gun control and that they wanted to hear specifics about how he recognizes that the country is looking vulnerable. Some F&FW fans were not amused that “her friends” were Obama supporters and they assumed that she was as well. Of course, her support of the NSA may not have ingratiated her to them. [Re her sex life, Juliet racily chuckled, “Nobody cares what I’m doing with my boyfriend.”]*

Mid-show, Juliet seemed to have had it with her F&FW viewer critics. During an “Oval Office Address” discussion, Juliet declared, “Well, you know, I have to say as I was saying earlier, a couple of my friends who were Obama supporters, who voted for him.” Glaring at the camera, she sniped, “Yes, and I do have friends who voted for Obama!” Turning to Clayton, she snarled, “I’m getting lots of Tweets, little nasty Tweets!”

One sympathetic Tweep wrote, “Idiots woke up early today. We have your back, Juliet.”

In response, an angry Juliet exclaimed, “I’d like to keep my job but trust me if they could read my mind… (with angry devil emoji).”

As the final hour drew to a close, Juliet dug herself in deeper in the eyes of her critics when she seemed to go to bat for writer Linda Stasi of the the NY Daily News.* In discussing the latest  Daily News controversy, Tucker asked, “Why is that a certain sort of person looks at a terrorist shooting like this and immediately blames the victims, that is, normal Americans.”

Putting her hand up as in protest, Juliet remarked, “I didn’t take it, I didn’t it as she was blaming this guy.” As Tucker guffawed in derision, Juliet continued, “Hold on! Here’s what I took it as. I, I felt like she was saying, ‘This guy was so kind of  extreme in his views, and he was always kind of talking about them. He was always just spewing them out there that, maybe, this was something that raised the ire of this psychopath that ended up going and killing people.”

Chiming in aptly, Clayton replied, “But, but, wait! But, but, no, the point is she says “thirteen innocent” victims have died. So, she made a point to say that she’s not innocent.”

Finally, coming to her senses, Juliet answered, “Not innocent which is, which is I think you and I have a problem. I agree.”

F&F’s Hasselbeck Out: Who’s In?

November 23, 2015

“I’m just waiting on a Friend!” Today, FNC announced that Fox & Friends co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is on her way out and that she is expected to exit the early morn cable news champ in late December according to “Variety” magazine. Elisabeth, F&F fans barely knew you!

Only two years ago (September 16, 2013), sexy Survivor celeb and The View’s erstwhile conservative co-anchor Elisabeth became the belle of the ball, replacing flirty 1989 Miss America beauty, Gretchen Carlson, who never really seemed to quite click with her male co-hosts, Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade. In contrast, Elisabeth was the sweet married hottie that put her boys on the curvy couch on notice from the start that she considered them brothers.

To the author who has followed F&F since the days of E. D. Donahey (a/k/a E. D. Hill), Elisabeth seemed like such a sweet, sincere soul that he could not easily snark or snipe at her–even when she became mawkish and maudlin. Nevertheless, she seemed like an odd choice for F&F‘s then EVP of Programming Bill Shine over the much beloved Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Alisyn Camerota who oft held court from the center seat on the weekend curvy couch when Gretchen was away. Of course, the long-time F&F fan was not overly surprised since Shine had similarly overlooked E. D.’s obvious successor, the smart, sexy, and charismatic F&FW co-anchor Kiran Chetry.

Perhaps, Shine will bring back comely Kiran: But, it is somewhat doubtful in light of the manner that Kiran was reportedly dismissed. If he is not ready to bring Kiran back into the fold, perchance, he will consider Aly who was always there for him on F&F First, F&F Weekend, and F&F weekday (as a sub, especially during the big news special editions). If Shine wants to stay with the Fox stable, he may want to consider Greek goddess Nicole Petallides who brings sexy back on FBN:AM on a daily basis (as F&FF once did).

[Author’s aside: Best of luck, Elisabeth! Hopefully, you will enjoy much joy, peace, success with the fam in the present and in your career in the future.]

Huddy Replaces M.I.A. Kooiman?

November 22, 2015

Not quite: But, to paraphrase President Obama, she’ll do–at least, for today. Yesterday, Outnumbered co-host Sandra Smith subbed for Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Anna Kooiman: But, the priggish, lovely L.S.U. tomboy certainly was no threat to the sexy, vivacious Anna. Today, a more matronly, jaunty Juliet Huddy sat anew in her erstwhile seat on the F&FW curvy couch for the comely Kooiman: But, the Heboken honey in red with her priggish high neckline, low hemline, and elbow cuffs [Pic via J$] was assuredly no threat to the smart, sweet, sexy Southern belle, who happily flaunts her tanned, toned stems to her F&FW fans as she keeps them au courant.

Where was Anna who has been gone for the last two weekends? As to last weekend, the author fears that she and her co-host Clayton Morris were replaced for more seasoned journos in the aftermath of the Paris bombings (F&F Saturday, F&F Sunday). Re this weekend, Anna Tweeted (with pics), “Can’t wait to celebrate this beautiful bride over her wedding weekend! Congratulations cuzzzz!”

Hurry back, Anna! You are missed!

Clayton & Anna Pulled Again

November 15, 2015

Kilmeade: “Special @foxandfriends.” Today, Fox & Friends Weekend co-anchors Clayton Morris and Anna Kooiman were pulled again from the curvy couch Sunday morning. Explaining the absence of the two F&FW co-hosts before the show began, Fox & Friends weekday co-host Brian Kilmeade Tweeted, “Looking forward @ working w/ & on special all over the world focusing on @ISIS & FRANCE.” I.e., no worries, viewers, the big boys and the big gals remain in charge on Fox & Friends Weekend: When things settle down in the world, Clayton and Anna will be back.

F&FW’s Clayton & Anna Pulled

November 14, 2015

Jon & Kimberly join Tucker to form the Fox & Friends Weekend “A-Team” Saturday. Co-hosts Clayton Morris and Anna Kooiman were pulled from the F&FW Saturday lineup this morning in the wake of the horrific terrorist attacks on France Friday evening (local time) that left 127 dead and 200 others injured (99 in critically condition). In their stead, F&FW substituted more seasoned FNC veterans, Happening Now co-host Jon Scott and Five co-anchor and guest co-host Kimberly Guilfoyle. Notably, today Tucker got to stay in the game. [Two years ago (04/20/13), after the capture of the last of the Boston Marathon bomber brothers, Tucker and Clayton both were temporarily demoted on F&FW (Saturday) in favor of FNC heavyweights Brian Kilmeade and–yes, dear reader–the very same Jon Scott: Perhaps, to Clayton and Tucker’s chagrin, their then F&FW ace co-anchor Alisyn Camerota aptly stayed in the game.]

At the end of weekday Fox & Friends yesterday, Clayton and Anna promoted their then upcoming F&FW Saturday with promises of guest appearances of “one of the premier psychics in the world, Laura Lynne Jackson” and of Santa Claus. Concluding the show, a smiling and waving Anna sweetly declared, “Bye, everybody! See you dark and early tomorrow!” But, it was not to be: Clayton and Anna had to leave the field.

When there is explosive hard news to cover, F&FW knows full well that they need to go to their “A Team.” And, today they did–with Jon and Kimberly. But, there is still hope for tech geek Clayton and alluring lovely Anna to make F&FW‘s “A-Team”: After all, Tucker got his call today.

Rick Reichmuth Mute: Married?

November 8, 2015

Wow! Wedding ring suddenly appears!* Proud long-time bachelor Fox & Friends Weekend meteorologist Rick Reichmuth appears to have finally got hitched. Even though he was sporting his golden wedding band for the world to see, he said nary a word about his apparent new status as a married man.

Best wishes for you and your new apparent spouse, Rick! Wedding pics and a few words are in order: Spill the beans!

Beefcake Brian: Bare Chested!

November 6, 2015

Elisabeth: “I’m not looking!” Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade proved Thursday that FNC does not just provide viewers cheesecake with its news but, on occasion, a bit of beefcake. Why not give guys and gals a little levity to ameliorate the gravity of the Presidential campaign, the threat of ISIS, etc.?

In a fashion segment featuring Bookatailor.com [in which the men’s custom clothing company brought their auto and the F&F male co-hosts’ pre-ordered custom suits to the Fox News patio] on the FNC patio, co-anchors Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade teased their femme fans with the possibility of Playgirl exposure.* Pointing to a partitioned corner of the patio to help introduce the piece, Steve declared, “We’re going to get dressed behind this black curtain. On the other side of the black curtain is a window to the Green room: the people in the Green room, much like an aquarium, will watch Brian and I get dressed. Chiming in, Brian responded, “Right! Steve, I’m also worried about people who are looking down from the twenty-six flights.”

As the F&F guys changed, co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck began to interview the Bookatailor.com rep: However, the F&F boys wanted their attention. From behind the black curtain, Steve exclaimed, “Hey, Elisabeth! Elisabeth, the people in the Green Room are looking at us!” Racily, Elisabeth remarked, “Well, what are they seeing right now?”

Heading toward the black curtain, Elisabeth asked, “How’s the progress? You need me to take any of your clothes out?” As Steve and Brian handed her their clothes through the parted curtains, a shirtless Brian could be seen putting on his white dress shirt. Looking at the camera reassuringly, Elisabeth smiling asserted, “I’m not looking!”

But F&F viewers were. For some of us, it was not the most welcome sight: But, for others, it may well have been. Now, to paraphrase that icon Wendy’s phrase, “Where’s the cheesecake?”

Missing Ainsley? She’s on Maternity Leave

November 2, 2015

Earhardt: “Just pray for me!” Friday, Fox & Friends First co-host Heather Childress revealed that her co-anchor Ainsley Earhardt was going on maternity leave as their show concluded. But, Ainsley seemed to indicate that her departure just might be a bit more.

When Heather made her announcement, a crew member brought a bouquet of flowers and a few pieces of cake to a smiling Ainsley.

Smiling, Ainsley, exclaimed, “How wonderful! These are beautiful! Thank you, Matt!”

Interjecting, Heather declared, “We are really going to miss you, and we know that you are going to be a wonderful, wonderful mom.”

In reply, Ainsley said, “Oh, you’re so sweet! Thank you for your support. I love you!”

Turning to her audience, Ainsley continued, “I love all of you! Ya’ll have been so supportive and so loving. And next time I see you all, I’ll have a baby! Life is about to change!”

Chiming in, Heather said, “Yes, you will: Not sure if it’s going to be a baby boy or [a] baby girl.”

In response, Ainsley stated, “We don’t know! We’re going to be surprised.”

Opening up further with her fans more intimately, Ainsley disclosed, “I did find out [that] the baby is breached. So, we have a scheduled C-section for next Friday….Today’s my last day on air. I will be here for a few more days.”

Sounding almost as if her maternity leave were permanent, Ainsley again declared, “Today’s my last day on air. So, I’ve loved every minute of it. I feel so fortunate. And, just pray for me.” Then she added, “Pray for a healthy baby, please!”

Clutching her flowers, Ainsley concluded, “Thanks to our producers who gave us time to do this today. Ya’ll have all been wonderful. I just feel loved. And, ya’ll are all so special to me.”

Beaming, Ainsley blew her fans a big kiss, saying, “Thank you. Bye!”

Prayers for a good delivery and a healthy baby, Ainsley!

Kiran Chetry: Director

October 19, 2015

“Submission Type.” Don’t get too excited, naughty boys: Kiran Chetry has not yet been tapped to star in the sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey. Rather, the sexy former host of American Morning (CNN) and Fox & Friends (First & Weekend) has been named Director of Global Strategy for WaveCapital Partners LLC (Banking & Financial Services) according to the Charlotte Business Journal.

This afternoon (October 19), Kiran Tweeted, “Thrilled to join the team! Lots of exciting projects in the works. Great people! For a photo of the Nepalese lovely with her new colleagues, link here.

Congratulations, Kiran!

[Author’s aside: Re the subtitle, supra, the author playfully cited the Charlotte Business Journal‘s “Kiran Chetry Recognition Plaque” that had a line that read, “Submission Type: New Hire.”]

Anna On Honeymoon: “Very Salacious” Huddy Back!

September 19, 2015

Kooiman: “I’m going out with a bang!” And, Juliet is BACK with her own bang! Tuesday, Fox & Friends guest co-anchor Anna Kooiman revealed, “I leave for my honeymoon today! I’m going out with a bang!”* When co-host Steve Doocy queried where she would go, Anna exclaimed, “Italy and Austria!” And, in her place on the curvy couch today sat former F&FW co-host Juliet Huddy.

Even though it has been approximately a year and a half since Juliet graced the curvy couch, she seemed somewhat back in her element–even though Juliet awkwardly defended her friend View co-host Michelle Collins repeatedly for her snarky remark directed at Miss America contestant, Kelly Johnson (Miss Colorado), for her talent competition as to her life-saving work as an RN. Not to mention Collins reportedly impugning nurses reportedly saying, “Yeah, that’s not a real profession. They want to be doctors.”

To boot, Juliet let the guys and gals know that she was still her own licentious self even if she were dressed this morn more like a school marm than an FNC fox. In a “7 Things Every Man Should Know,” co-host Tucker Carlson read, “You [men] are more difficult to live with than you think you are.”** In response, Juliet declared, “It’s accurate: Yes, definitely! That’s why I think people should live with each other before they get married: But, that’s just my very salacious personality.” Pointedly, co-anchor Tucker Carlson replied to the thrice-married cougar, “And, studies yet do show that people who live together before they get married have a higher divorce rate”: As co-anchors Tucker Carlson and Clayton Morris grinned, Juliet laughed, “Which makes a lot of sense!”

Youthful hottie Anna is gone for now: And, the F&FW boys get a blast from the past.

Kilmeade’s “Naked” Misogyny?

September 14, 2015

Sarcastic Brian: “What a shame!” For the “painted [topless] ladies” who feel less safe in Times Square (re a recent attack on the street performers), Fox & Friends co-anchor Brian Kilmeade seems to think that they are asking for it. It was not Kilmeade’s finest hour this morning: And, he should apologize to the topless-body-paint gals who are trying to make a living lawfully–and to all the other women who value their equal rights.

Sounding like a troglodyte, usually au courant Brian opined in a jarringly offensive fashion re women who believe in exercising their legally recognized equal rights by “baring their breasts as men are routinely permitted to do” (according to a 1992 New York Court of Appeals Court decision, People v. Ramona Santorelli and Mary Lou Schloss). Introducing an upcoming story, his co-host Steve Doocy declared, “The painted ladies of Times Square are seeing red, why they say [that] they feel less safe when they are naked in Times Square.” Unsympathetically and chauvinistically, at best, Brian sarcastically responded, “What a shame!”

“What a shame indeed!,” Brian! The apparently practical endorsement of the reported attack on Amanda Roman, a “desnuda” of Times Square, was unseemly and unwarranted. In the author’s opinion, you should apologize to her and to all of the “painted ladies” who are simply exercising their equal rights to earn a living a la the “Naked Cowboy” in Times Square. After all, it is 2015!

[Author’s aside: Perhaps, Kelly File host Megyn Kelly will grill her colleague F&F co-host Brian Kilmeade in his next regular segment with him as she did “The Donald”–or, maybe, not.]

F&FW: Losing Their Religion?

September 6, 2015

“Go Blue”: But no “tipsforJesus”! This morning, Fox & Friends Weekends seemed to snub Jesus, or, perhaps, His followers who wanted to help a harried waitress. Crazy, crazy!

In a “News by the Numbers” segment, F&FW co-anchor Anna Kooiman, a self-professed Christian, proclaimed, “Three thousand dollars, that’s how much a Salt Lake waitress was tipped despite the Michigan loss. It didn’t stop [the collegiate football] fans from feeling generous, adding a hashtag “goblue” on the side of that receipt.”* Even though the a shot of the receipt had “@TIPSFORJESUS” next to the gratuity for $3000.00 and the next frame of the waitress gratefully displaying the tab on the “tipsforjesus” Twitter account, Anna said nary a word about “tipsforJesus,” an individual or group who apparently want to bless others who need a helping hand.

“Go Blue”? Speak of burying the lede, F&FW, “tipsforJesus” deserves, at least, a hat tip!

*Fox & Friends Weekend – 09/06/15 (@ 7:24 a.m. ET).

Update: Happily, co-host Carlson Tucker did finally give an “h/t” to “TIPSFORJESUS” in a “News by the Numbers” toward the end of show by mentioning the name of “the group” (but the meme remained that it was some generous Michigan “Go Blue” fans). F&FW – 09/06/15 (@ 9:49 a.m. ET).

“Clueless Clayton” Gets Mad!

September 6, 2015

Still no theologian. Today, Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Clayton Morris got into his usual huff after being critiqued critically. Actually, the thin-skinned chap got even more irate this morning: The silly boy blocked the author from following his Twitter feed after the Carpe Diem article this morning entitled, “Clueless Clayton: Putative Theologian!

Poor Clayton: Unfortunately for him, the author actually listens to him. Yesterday, Clayton erroneously declared, “In the Bible…it explicitly says, ‘Be stoned if you get divorced.'” He was obviously winging it, and the author called him on it, pointing out that the Scriptural reference (Deuteronomy 22:22) pertained to an adulterer and an adulteress.

Re Clayton’s peevish response to the author’s article: No worries, anything that the author really cares about is what he says on Fox & Friends Weekend. As to his cyber world advice, FNC’s “Kurt the CyberGuy” will do just fine. Or even better.

Clayton, man up! See you tomorrow, I assume, on F&F.

Clueless Clayton: Putative Theologian!

September 6, 2015

“In the Bible…it explicitly says, ‘Be stoned if you get divorced.” This morning Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Clayton Morris showed that he is no Biblical scholar. Nor is his co-anchor Tucker Carlson.

In an exchange between Clayton and Tucker about the Kentucky clerk of court who refuses to issue marriage certificates to same-sex couples, they pretended to know Scripture: I.e, they both posited that the Bible advocates stoning to death of those who are divorced. Clayton noted that she had been divorced (as he has been) and declared that there was a lot of hypocrisy: He declared, “In the Bible right? It explicitly says, ‘Be stoned if you get divorced–to be stoned to death.”* Chiming in, Tucker, said, “That’s the Old Testament!”

Sorry, Clayton, your spurious assertion is in neither the Old or New Testaments. Stoning to death pertained to an adulterer or an adulteress–not a divorcee. (Deuteronomy 22:22). Clayton and Tucker, please just stick with the facts–and don’t try to wing it!

Carlson Condones Cadet Mayhem?

September 5, 2015

“Pretty clever.” This morning, Fox & Friends Weekend co-host  Tucker Carlson was his usual politically incorrect self–which is not always a bad thing: But, today it was.

As the news reader (in the early third hour), Tucker declared, “The guys at West Point are warriors, of course, so when then they have a pillow fight it can turn bloody. Thirty cadets were injured during the military academy’s annual freshmen tradition. Turns out some cadets put helmets in their pillowcases.”*

Rather than decrying the military mayhem, Tucker exclaimed, “Pretty clever!” Seemingly going back to his script, he continued, “But, it caused a lot of injuries, ranging from broken legs to dislocated shoulders and concussions.” He callously concluded, “We wouldn’t want to fight a war against these guys!”

“Pretty clever,” Tucker? According to the New York Times, there were “30 cadets injured, including 24 with concussions.” Furthermore, it indicated that one cadet suffered a broken leg and others had dislocated shoulders. Not to mention the one who was “taken away in an ambulance and had not returned to school.”

If the reports are true, charges should be filed on behalf of the assaulted and battered cadets. “Clever,” Tucker? Not clever at all!

F&F: The Real Duck Dynasty

August 25, 2015

Willie Robertson: “Bruce, do you think that they can kiss each other?* Yes, it is a little strange that the national media is focused on the author’s neck of the woods, But, it is good since it shows that this area of the country is not the stereotypical “redneck” area that the Manhattan elites too oft mock. And, even if they still snark at the beautiful wedding of Mary Kate and John Luke, they can go to Hades.

This morning, Fox & Friends featured the lovely Sadie Robertson, a finalist on “Dancing with the Stars” and the author of “Live Original: How the Duck Commander Team Keeps It Real and Stays True to Her Values.” It was a scintillating segment celebrating not only Sadie’s new book but also the wedding of Willie Robertson’s son, John Luke, and his beautiful bride Mary Kate MacEacharn.

To the author, it seemed strange: A very special family that he has known for years, the McEacharns, were thrust into the national spotlight. But, it also seemed right because the McEacharns and the Robertsons share the same values of faith, family, and country. Best wishes, Bonnie Kate, and congratulations, John Luke! And much love to you all!
