AM: Judgmental John?

After a salacious American Morning segment about newly elected Massachusetts Republican Senator Scott Brown and his daughters, co-host John “I Got a Closet, Too” Roberts just had to moralize this morning. When the Jeanne Moos story entitled “Dad Said What?!” (featuring Brown posing nude in Cosmo in 1982 as it’s “Sexiest American Man; his American Idol contestant daughter Alya singing and dancing saucily on stage at the victory party–not to mention, gasp!–pulling confetti from her cleavage; and Brown playfully announcing that his single daughters were “available”) had run, John sarcastically stated, “Thanks, Dad!”  Co-anchor Kiran laughingly replied, “It wasn’t that bad: He was just teasing! I thought they were real, really cute.”

Looking straight ahead, John deadpanned, “Mm-kay.” When he then turned to Kiran, she asked incredulously, You thought it was bad?” As he hesitantly began to open his mouth, Kiran queried, “Did you?” Seemingly cloaked in sheep’s clothing, he lupinely grinned, “Oh, yeah!” In response, Kiran simply smiled and shook her head in disbelief.”

John, the liberal lion of the Senate would be disappointed, too. After all, when it comes to filling his shoes as to such mores, Brown appears to be yet a mere lightweight. Seemingly, he still has much to learn.

Just my opinion of course, but to me, there doesn’t seem to be much of anything that shocks or bothers Chetry. I doubt there’s much she would consider to be taboo or in bad taste. Well, now that I think about it, those who have conservative views might leave Kiran with a bitter aftertaste.

Kep, of course, everyone has a right to their own opinion. But, perhaps, a little harsh? Have you ever seen Kiran exhibit any actual animus toward anyone on (or off) air?

What’s so harsh about what I said? Kiran has always come across as a free spirit type, and by that I mean a person who seems to have a very liberal and permissive set of ideals. I don’t think much would shock her or offend her. Social liberals are accepting of most anything and everything, except of course the views and values of conservatives. I think she’s very friendly to liberals on American Morning, while her attitude towards conservatives seems terse and penetrating. I don’t know anything about the woman’s treatment of others while she’s not on tv, nor do I particularly care.

Kep, I do not see the necessary nexus between being a free spirit and having an animus toward conservatives. In Kiran’s case, I haven’t seen any real evidence of such an attitude or behavior. If you do want to see such examples, you may want to tune in to another cable news channel.

Jakeho, Just how many liberal broadcast journalists do you think there are that don’t engage in the regular practice of ridiculing, belittling and demeaning those who don’t subscribe to their permissive and loose view of life and the world in general? Kiran works at CNN, or as she has called it “The Gold Standard”, and the powers that be at the network are no less liberal than those who steer the ship at MSNBC. Now, I’m not sure where the “gold standard” reference comes from, because CNN has had their share of ethical lapses during their long history. Only someone with a liberal world view could consider CNN in such high regard considering some of their shameful reporting practices.

Maybe you’ve never seen Chetry snickering and smirking along with her colleagues as they air their cute little stories about Sarah Palin. Oh, those CNNer’s are so much wiser and worldly than the former Alaska governor. The morning cast seems to delight in portraying conservatives as mean, angry and out of the mainstream. Just like MSNBC. It’s just packaged a bit differently, that’s all. And what of Chetry’s apparent pro-abortion bias? Have you not noticed this as well? Anyone that would go out of their way to cast pro-lifers as those who are just waiting to harm someone should be ashamed of themselves. March for Life took place on Friday. Who covered it? Certainly not CNN or MSNBC. These folks were peaceful and respectful, but you can bet your bottom dollar that if some kook had done something, the libs would have been all over it, saying “there’s those violent anti-abortion nuts”.

Chetry is working for a very biased, liberal network. CNN knew who they got when they hired her, and that is someone who was more than willing to play their game.

John Roberts – John Edwards – Tiger Woods. Just sayin.
