Mommy Megyn: Baby Thatcher ‘Totally Awesome’

Kelly’s blue-eyed baby boy arrives! Today, America Live anchor Megyn Kelly‘s stand-in Shannon Bream joyfully announced the birth of the third child of Megyn and her hubby Doug Brunt as the show concluded.* When the final America Live segment opened with a photo of Megyn and Doug’s sleeping, swaddled newborn, Shannon proclaimed, “Here is the picture! Say hello to Thatcher Bray Brunt….[He] was born at…eight pounds two ounces. He has brown hair [and] blue eyes. He is gorgeous!” And, if there were any doubt, Shannon added, “Mom said the best description of him–and this is the quote–‘Totally awesome!'”

As Shannon segued to Studio B host Shepard Smith, Shep exclaimed, “And, everyone in Studio B: this is the best news of the day! How is she?” In answer, Shannon declared, “[Megyn] is doing great. We’re told she is doing fabulous. Everyone is well.”

The “Iron Baby” joins his three-year-old big brother Edward Yates and their two-year-old sis Yardley Evans in the burgeoning Kelly/ Brunt brood.

Shannon Bream: Liberty Belle & Trump Beauty?

America’s News Headquarters anchor Shannon Bream: no small fry! The beautiful blond legal eagle that graduated from Moral Majority founder Jerry Falwell’s Liberty College oft appears too demure, too modest, and too soft-spoken for FNC’s foxy fold of sassy, sexy, and brassy news babes. Her Fox News fans would not be shocked that the Florida native, who had interned in college on the Hill for Rep. Bill McCollum (R-FL), subsequently got her J.D. cum laude at Florida State University, became a corporate lawyer, and got the journalist bug that eventually led her to Fox News (a la FNC colleague Megyn Kelly). But, they might be quite surprised that their “conservative” cutie, the former Miss Shannon DePuy, in the interim, was furthermore not only a 1991 Top 10 Miss America finalist (Miss Virginia) but also a 1995 Top 12 Miss USA semi-finalist (Miss Florida).

Yes, the Southern belle has the brains to cover the Supreme Court beat. But, she also has the looks to sashay on the catwalk with the best of them–be they Bert Parks’ classic beauties (1991 Miss America Top 10 vid) or Donald Trump‘s chic chicks (Top 12 and swimsuit vids).

Shannon Bream: Megyn Kelly Looks AMAZING!

Former Maxim model Courtney Friel: “She looks awesome.” Last week, Deadline Hollywood reported that Megyn Kelly will return to America Live next Monday exactly four months after taking maternity leave on April 8. Yesterday, the FNC foxes began to herald the return of their alpha vixen: Megyn’s America Live fill-in Shannon Bream trumpeted, “Just saw @MegynKelly and she looks AMAZING! She’s back Monday!!” Today, FNC entertainment correspondent Courtney Friel chimed, “She looks awesome and is sporting a new haircut.”

Apparently, Slate’s “Post-Feminist News Babe” is back in rare form and is raring to go after giving birth to her second child (daughter Yardley Evans) on April 14. Whether or not she has shed those baby pounds and returned to her GQ pinup prime is yet to be seen. Regardless, Megyn’s avid AL acolytes are assuredly more than eager to welcome back their brainy, blond beauty.

Whether Megyn’s return to America Live is short-lived is not yet known. Once The Five has ended its run this summer, FNC Senior VP of Programming may yet promote his “rising star” to that evening hour. Nevertheless, at least, for now, welcome back, Megyn!
