Stormy Maria: Inked Pink!

December 21, 2013

Molina reveals her secret “tart tatt”–nine months late. For Carpe Diem fans of the Fox News weather gal Maria Molina, a/k/a “Cosmo’s caliente Latina,” the revelation was a long time coming. Over nine months ago, the author noted the barbed pink/red ringlet adorning Maria, Tweeting her, “[I]s that a red “barb” tattoo or a beauty mark on your left wrist?” Not a word from the Nicaraguan nymph: Perhaps, the demure beauty thought that FNC was a tatt-free zone and she did not want to be dispatched posthaste like her comely “spanked and spurned” predecessor Domenica Davis.

Nevertheless, Monday, F&F newsreader Heather Nauert outed the demure damsel on F&F‘s After the Show Show. During the episode entitled, “Hidden talents,” with Maria, Heather, and co-hosts, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Steve Doocy, on the curvy couch,  Heather abruptly turned to Maria, teasing, “Give me your hand here! Give me your hand! What is that on your wrist?”*

Embarrassed, Maria initially pulled her arm away from Heather: Then, complying, she gave her hand to Heather. Subsequently, Heather (and Elisabeth) turned Maria’s arm for all of her F&F fans to see the reddish pink symbol inked on her wrist. Interjecting, Steve intoned, “Wait! Wait!…Oh, look at that: it’s a stamp!”

Chiming in, Heather added, “It looks like she was at a little club.”

Chagrined, Maria admitted, “It’s a tattoo.” Shyly, she subsequently explained, “It’s actually a tropical storm.” Then, she added, “It’s supposed to be Hurricane Andrew. And, that’s the reason I became a meteorologist.”

Sounds good–at least, to the parents. But, for ardent acolytes of the smoldering Maria Molina, her explanation seems almost too convenient. For those votaries of a tropical stormy Maria, her symbol looks almost a little like the inchoate etchings of Pamela Anderson’s racy barbed wire.

To quote Eminem, “Maybe, that’s what happens when a tornado meets a volcano.” Maria, “love the way you lie.” Or, not.

[Author’s aside: Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler weighs in? “Pink is my favorite color.”]

Pussycat Kiran Busts a Move

March 30, 2009

Kiran’s Chetry’s got the rhythm! The comely American Morning co-anchor gave viewers a taste of her saucy, sexy side when she thought the camera wasn’t looking. As the strains of Rihanna’s “Please Don’t Stop the Music” introduced recessionista Lola Ogunnaike’s Virgin Megastore closing segment,  American Morning co-anchor Kiran Chetry placed her hands on her svelte hips and began to jauntily gyrate.

Suddenly sensing she was on air, she stopped. Turning to a subtly swaying Lola, Kiran explained, “Just gonna break out a dance move: I didn’t realize we were on camera. Oops!”

No need to apologize, Kiran. AM could use more of a fun, flirty flair from the femmes to balance its hard news approach. Maybe, AM could give Fox & Friends a real run for the money if AM EP Janelle Rodriguez would “Let the Cats Out.” Mew! Mew! Mew! Mew! Mew!

Morris Muffles Coulter

March 7, 2009

Unfortunately, Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Clayton Morris rescued conservative babe and Guilty author, Ann Coulter, from herself today. As Clayton and co-anchor Ainsley Earhardt promoted an upcoming Rihanna/Chris Brown segment, Ann could be distinctly heard in the background as she chatted with weatherguy Rick Reichmuth.

After hearing Ann clearly state, “We’ll, we used to be friends,” a quick-thinking Clayton, looking back at the camera, strode toward Ann and louded asked, “Do you hear that voice back there? It’s the unmistakable voice of Ann Coulter.” When a red-faced Ann realized her error, she exclaimed “Oops!” as she placed her hand over mouth. Recovering, she smiled broadly and waved to the viewer as Rick merely grinned abashedly.

After Ann’s subsequent segment and the co-hosts’ segue to him, Rick teased, “I know what she was saying, too, when her microphone wasn’t on.” Embarrassed, Ann rocked back on the curvy couch and teheed. Clayton replied, “Don’t say it.” Rick responded, “Just saying but I’m not going to say it.” Co-anchor Dave Briggs cautioned, “Shhh!”

Bouquets, Clayton, from Ann and the F&FW producers but brickbats from your F&F fans.

To See or Not to See?

February 20, 2009

To see or not to see: That is the question. As to the TMZ pic of pop star Rihanna after purported being brutalized by her boyfriend Chris Brown, Fox & Friends and American Morning answered it quite differently. F&F gave it’s viewers long, lingering looks at the painfully disturbing pic: However, according to AM co-host Kiran Chetry, CNN decided not to air the pic “right now” (while acknowledging that the photos were out there).

Obviously, the picture is of public interest due to the high visibility of the attractive, rich, and famous young lovers. Furthermore, it is readily available to anyone with Internet access. However, should domestic violence victims be given a zone of privacy generally accorded to sex crime victims?

FNF has spoken. CNN has not “right now”: Should it? You make the call.,0,
