Clayton’s “Queer” Echo: “Wide Stance” Rick

March 9, 2014

Tucker: “Wide stance!” Off-handed remark or odd “outing”? Yesterday, Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Tucker Carlson appeared to incredibly and inanely allude to the infamous Larry Craig airport restroom incident–as he, his co-hosts, Clayton Morris and Anna Kooiman, and chief meteorologist Rick Reichmuth were taught a new groove on the treadmill by Nikki Fitness‘ sexy Nikki Glor.

In a segment entitled “Treadmill Tricks: How to Make the Most of an Indoor Workout,” Nikki introduced the “Wide Walker” exercise [vid]. As they all strangely strode atop the rotating rubber, Clayton suggestively queried, “Wide walker?”* Without much apparent reflection on his FNC present (or any recollection of his 2007 MSNBC past), Tucker rashly riposted, “Wide stance!” As laughter rang out in the background, Clayton quipped, “That’s what we call Rick!”

Looking at Clayton, Rick laughed: In response, Clayton chuckled as if it were an inside joke. A few seconds later, he conveniently added, “Like a cowboy.” Clayton channeling Bill Press? Perhaps, perhaps not.

Stay tuned.

[Author’s aside: As the author listened to the tape (for another article), he noticed the aforementioned strange exchanges. When he heard Tucker’s “wide stance” comment, he immediately thought of the much ballyhooed phrase re Larry Craig (re Urban Dictionary‘s top definition). Upon further review, the author still wonders if Clayton’s quick quip was an off-handed remark to FNC‘s beloved chief meteorologist or an odd “outing” of his friend.]

Kooiman’s Kinky “White Wedding”

May 2, 2013

Anna the next F&F spring bride-to-be? FNC correspondent Anna Kooiman subtly announced today that she is getting married (at least, if the past two years of Fox & Friends spring wedding exercise segments are a precedent). In her first promo of her “Wedding Workout! How to Slim Down for the Big Day” racy couples fitness segment, Anna excitedly did jumping jacks with her white veil and faux marital garb to the tune of Billy Idol’s “White Wedding”: Off camera, F&F co-host Brian Kilmeade teased, “I think one is getting married: I think they’re all getting married, including Kooiman.”*

Later, when F&F co-anchor Alisyn Camerota introduced F&F‘s “Wedding Workout!” segment in the second hour, a smiling Anna appeared on camera in her ivory attire animatedly doing jumping jacks new–but this time with a suggestive ebony blindfold over her eyes.** Pulling it up momentarily, Anna remarked, “A couple that works out together stays together. And, that’s the idea behind…a brand new wedding season class at New York Sports Club.” Turning to her musclebound, blindfolded partner dressed all in black, she said, “This is my hubby….As if her real man were watching, she reassuringly declared, “He’s my stand-in hubby, just for the day!” [Italics added for emphasis.]

Subsequently, she had her “man of the moment” massage her shoulders as she interviewed the NY Sports Club instructors, asking them the name of their class: When the lady instructor responded “Tough Love,” Anna prompted her to give the rest of the risque rubric, “Bars, bands, and blindfolds.” Pulling her blindfold back over her eyes seductively, Anna racily remarked, “And, blindfolds. We are channeling Fifty Shades of Grey [an erotic romance thriller].” Subsequently, she did some “trust squats” blindfolded back-to-back with her partner and some bondage exercises (albeit free of the large rubber band loosely binding the ankles of some of the others).

When Anna began to wrap her report and segue back to the three F&F co-anchors, Steve Doocy randily queried, “What does the blindfold do?” Blushing, a grinning Anna answered, “This is what’s building the trust.” As Aly arched her eyebrows knowingly and echoed “the trust,” Ann continued, “I think because of the popularity of Fifty Shades of Grey, they are trying to…capitalize on that a bit.”

As Anna’s segment concluded, Aly intoned, “That’s great. Anna, I love that you turned to your partner like ‘married only for the day,’ ‘only for right now’ you had to tell him.” Hugging her hunk du jour in response, Ann chuckled, “Just for the day. Great, though!” Interjecting bawdily, Brian jested, “Right. Because he was hoping for the honeymoon!” As Steve smiled and Aly laughed, Anna tersely replied, “Yeah, yeah.”

“Yeah, yeah, Brian.” Anna probably already has her boy toy in tow if F&F‘s past is a prelude to her future. Almost two years ago (June 5, 2011), F&FW guest co-host Molly Line did a Nikki Fitness segment with “brides” in white entitled, “Bridal Boot Camp: Tips to get in shape for the big day”: Four days later on F&F weekday, she proudly proclaimed that she was betrothed and happily displayed her new engagement ring. Last year (June 14, 2012), Ainsley did her own Nikki Fitness segment titled, “Wedding Workout: Exercises to Get You Ready for the Big Day” in white connubial dress: Two weeks to the day later, Ainz was sporting her own connubial bling but waited until another month and half to announce, “Yes, I’m getting married.”

This year, Anna followed with her saucier version of the annual spring “white wedding” exercise segment: Today, it sounded as if Anna may have her own marital band in full view. Anna’s foot may not have fit into Cinderella’s glass slipper two days ago: But, she appears to have her real Prince at the ready.

Ainsley Admits: “Yes, I’m Getting Married”

August 15, 2012

Finally! FNC anchor Ainsley Earhardt acknowledged on Fox & Friends Monday that she is indeed wedding anew. But, it should come as no surprise to her fans, at least, her Carpe Diem ones, who should have suspected that the single Southern belle was no longer lonely. Approximately two months earlier, CD reported that that Ainsley had Tweeted an Fox & Friends First pic of her with an apparent wedding ring on her left finger: Further, it noted that exactly two weeks earlier she had interviewed and joined Nikki Glor a/k/a Nikki Fitness in an F&FF fitness segment entitled, “Wedding Workout: Exercise to Get You Ready for the Big Day.” And, now, Ainsley has made her new engagement status official.

On Monday, Ainsley made her connubial announcement as the very first block of F&FF concluded Monday. When she had finished reading the headline news which ended with a story about Jennifer Aniston’s new engagement for a second marriage, fellow guest co-host Eric Bolling wryly remarked, “The second most important wedding coming up.” Sitting back and smiling coyly, Ainsley haltingly asked, “I know. Oh, the second most important?” Before Eric could answer, anchor Steve Doocy interjected, “After yours!” Beaming broadly and ducking her head demurely, a reddening Ainsley declared, “Yes, I’m getting married.”

Congratulations, Ainsley! But, who’s the lucky fellow?

[Author’s aside: Eric’s premature proclamation? Perhaps. Even though Ainsley twice Tweeted (1, 2) Monday about the show, she failed to mention the good news to her Twitter followers.]

Ainsley Earhardt “in Shape”: Blushing Bride 2B?

June 18, 2012

Ainz proudly rocks the rock–on her left ring finger! Early this morning, Fox & Friends First co-host Ainsley Earhardt seemed to signal to her fans the apparent news that she is off the market anew. Before the show started, the usually “ringless” Ainsley Tweeted her followers the upcoming headlines stories and included a photo of herself and co-anchor Heather Nauert together: Both had extra large smiles as Ainsley displayed her hands side by side with a single ring, seemingly, an engagement ring (on her left ring finger).

Perhaps, F&F fans should have suspected nuptials for Ainsley again might be in the offing exactly two weeks ago today. On June 4, she had Nikki Glor a/k/a Nikki Fitness on F&FF for a fitness segment entitled “Wedding Workout: Exercises to Get You Ready for the Big Day.” Dressed in white and ringless as usual, she had Nikki put her through the paces: But, before she did so, Ainsley seemed to have a Freudian slip: exhorting Nikki, she exclaimed, “Alright, get us in shape!”

Ironically, Ainsley may have got the sly idea from her FNC colleague Molly Line who did virtually the same thing almost a year ago to the day (June 5, 2011) as guest co-host on Fox & Friends Weekend. On that show, a single Molly enthusiastically worked out with Nikki in a “Bridal Boot Camp” segment. Only four days later on Fox and Friends (weekday), Molly announced that she was engaged and proudly showed off her new stone.”

Ainsley, your own announcement soon? If so, congratulations!

[Author’s aside: More irony. Nikki rejoined Ainz today on Fox & Friends First on a “Summer Fitness Products” segment: Even though the cameraperson caught some indirect close-ups of Ainsley’s new bling, neither she nor Nikki uttered a word. F&FF – 06/18/12 (@ 5:52 a.m. ET) ]

Dave’s “Small Little Crush”: Softer, Sexier Molly?

June 8, 2011

Molly: Breasts? Got ’em, too. Fox & Friends Weekend‘s “new girl” Molly Line seemed intent on proving that she was all woman Saturday. After the author suggested that the generally “high-necked garb” gal might well soon be tutored by her ebony sister Harris Faulker to show her “softer, sexier side,” Molly seemed to have listened and learned well. In her very next F&FW appearance after the CD article, Molly showcased her erstwhile hidden distaff charms to her F&FW fans.

During a Saturday F&FW segment entitled “Bridal Boot Camp, Molly enthusiastically joined Nikki Glor (of Nikki Fitness) for a cardio/full-body bride-to-be workout. Eschewing her more usual demure dress, Molly confidently wore a somewhat low-cut, hot pink top. Apparently, having proudly proved a week earlier to her F&FW viewers during Fleet Week that she had “what it takes” as to her gluts, she seemed eager to show that she was similarly worthy as to her upper sphere–or, spheres.

Consequently, Molly went through Glor’s paces of deep plunges and torso contortions unabashedly as her every moment was closely chronicled by the F&FW camera. Later, when Molly had completed her rigorous regimen, she tossed back to her co-hosts, Dave Briggs and Clayton Morris: Smiling appreciatively, Dave declared, “Nice job, ladies.”

Subsequently, after Dave and Clayton had finished promoting the post-break stories and as the block drew to a close, an eager F&FW cameraman returned to close-ups of Molly–not to mention, her oscillating opalescent orbs–as she happily performed one last aerobic activity for her audience.

Apparently, Molly’s siren call did not end then and there for Dave: a day later, as he co-anchored F&FW Sunday with Ainsley Earhardt and Clayton, he seemed still mesmerized by the brunette Boston beauty. When Clayton promoted a new Fox News application during the program that allowed users to access various show segments, Dave devilishly declared, “You can even watch the “Bridal Boot Camp” segment from yesterday with Nicole Glor–if you’re just, just hanging out, you know.”*

As Dave showed the audience the iPad with Molly exercising, Ainz heartily laughed. Slightly less animated, Clayton chuckled and pointed at Molly’s video, commenting, “”This is what Dave was doing yesterday when he got home: He said, ‘You know, I really want to watch the “Bridal Boot Camp” segment again.'”

Turning to Dave with a smile, Ainsley teased, “Dave, I wonder why.” Perhaps, pausing for a moment with a slight tinge of jealousy (as she remembered how Dave had suggested that she herself was a “hot mama” a mere week and a day earlier), Ainsley mischievously added, “He has a small little crush.”
