F&FF’s Rob Schmitt?

April 6, 2017

Who the heck is Heather Childers‘ hubby du jour? Yes, Carpe Diem was similarly situated as most of FNC’s audience. After a Google search, the author found that guest Fox & Friends First co-host Rob (pics) like FNC star Shepard Smith (pic) and Gregg Jarrett (pic) has his own mug shot to add to his portfolio. According to SFLTV.com, Rob was arrested on “alleged battery/domestic violence charges”: However, SFLTV.com later reported, “The case against Rob Schmitt was dismissed on 3/9/2009 for lack of evidence.”

Obviously, in this fallen world, viewers should not be surprised at what journos, pols, or others are accused of doing or of what they do in spite of their celebrity. After all, there has never been a perfect mere mortal. But, the F&FF fan can be forgiven for giving a double take after her/his Google search of a Fox News newbie.

With all of the anti-Fox News feverish fervor from its competitors, FNC would be wise to place on the scales who Rob is and what he brings to the table for their audience.

Fox & Friends Coverup

December 14, 2016

Oops! Too much skin! The Fit Butler” was all yum in the early morn on Fox & Friends First yesterday: But, sexy Kris Drew apparently had to doff her sexy blue dress and don another more modest one on Fox & Friends proper. In a segment on the “Gotham Steel Pan” on F&FF, she wore a long-sleeved, high-collared blue dress with flattering cut-outs as to her arms, her sides, and her bosom.* Three hours later, she appeared much more demure in a low v-neck blue dress with long sleeves sans slits: Kinda sexy but not quite as much.

Of course, the coverup is worse than the crime. But, F&F, Kris committed no crime–other than being dressed to kill!

Abby Leaves F&FF

December 14, 2016

Heather: “We’ll certainly miss you here.” As Fox & Friends First fans awakened to the very first segment of F&FF, co-host Heather Childers announced her veritable co-anchor Abby Huntsman‘s exit from the show to being F&F Weekend co-anchor. At the 5:07 a.m. ET moment, Heather proclaimed, “Well, congratulations are in order this morning: Abby Huntsman named the new co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend.” As Abby alluringly chimed in a protracted “aww” as a montage of her F&FW clips ran, Heather continued, “Of course, Abby, you’ve been here and on the curvy couch for a while now: But, now we are making it official, and you’ll join the team of Fox & Friend Weekend as they celebrate their highest rated year in history….We’ll certainly miss you here: But, glad that you’re staying part of the Fox & Friends family!”

In response, Abby amiably answered, “I love being here with you, Heather! Thanks so much! I’m excited for this new adventure, a new chapter! But, I love our audience: I love the Fox & Friends family!”

And, the F&FW audience appears to love her back. Whether Abby can live up to her predecessors, e.g., Kiran Chetry, Alisyn Camerota, Anna Kooiman, etc. remains to be seen. But, she does seem to be off to a good start.

Congrats anew, Abby!

Klutzy Klotz: Comely Molina’s Replacement?

October 26, 2016

Socks rocks? Not necessarily. Fox 5 Atlanta meteorologist Adam Klotz made his somewhat clumsy debut today on Fox & Friends First and Fox & Friends this morning. Actually, the Warsaw, Indiana, lad is likeable enough but F&F fans could tell that he definitely had the neophyte jitters as he hit the national stage.

Following in the footsteps of sexy Maria Molina surely was more than a tad daunting. Ergo, he played the role of the sycophant by not showing the fig but showing the socks. Sporting neon orange NASA socks, he reminded one of a former Fox & Friends Weekend co-host, namely Dave Briggs, who loved colorful and wacky socks as a wardrobe accessory: Ingratiatingly, he doled similarly colorful socks out to Fox & Friends First co-host Clayton Morris and Fox & Friends co-anchors Ainsley Earhardt, Steve Doocy, and Brian Kilmeade. Poor F&FF co-host Heather Childers was left out–perhaps, to her relief.

Both F&FF and F&F ran “getting-to-know” Adam Klotz segments with photos aplenty: Adam was seen as an intrepid skydiver and a fearless participant in the Running of the Bulls. And, his softer side was captured in a photo taken of him and his dog Piper sleeping side-by-side by his gorgeous girlfriend.

Adam was somewhat shaky Tuesday morn: But, he seemed more than willing to try. And, all of the hype by F&FF and F&F appeared to show that Shine wanted him to succeed. And, his lady Bianca Robles and his pup Piper certainly did–and they seemed to think that he did as they feted him with a bottle of white wine apparently delivered to him in his hotel room.

According to Adam, he will be back all week. Good luck, Adam: Break a leg!

F&FF’s Freaky Friday: No Legs Day

July 29, 2016

That was weird! Fox & Friends First co-hosts Heather Childers and Abby Huntsman’s gorgeous gams were nowhere on display today for their fervent fans. Both F&FF shows started with the news stories of the San Diego policemen being shot and Secretary Clinton’s Dem Presidential nomination: Neither hour started with Abby and Heather’s usual warm welcoming of their audience to the show as they stand flaunting their finery from head to toe.

To boot, on the half hour, they failed to so welcome their viewers as usual: Rather, producers picked an extraordinarily odd small shot of the heads and partial torsos of Heather and Abby as they tossed to their first reporter. It looked like a color film negative that took up only half of the screen with a small part of that screen above them and a large part of it below with a nondescript graphic. Strange!

It was a fast forward day for F&FF: Sorry, Abby and Heather! Step it up, producers!

Hottie Huntsman’s F&FW Debut

May 8, 2016

Tucker Carlson: “I hope not the last time!” Today, Fox & Friends First co-host Abby Huntsman finally made her debut on the F&F Weekend curvy couch. As the show started, Abby turned to her co-anchors Tucker Carlson and Clayton Morris, remarking, “First time. Are you guys going to be nice to me today? Are you going to treat me well?” Clayton answered, “We’re going to be lovely to you!”

And, Clayton and Tucker were: As well as they should have been. After all it was Abby’s virgin appearance on the F&FW vaunted curvy couch as co-anchor. Abby may not have been the fun, effervescent, flirty Anna Kooiman: But, she wasn’t bad either. She may have flubbed the pronunciation of Saskatchewan once: But, she was more than competent, and she remembered to dance out the segment oft enough for the jib camera–and her fans.

In the author’s opinion, Abby gets a “B” in her first appearance on the curvy couch as F&FW co-anchor. The waifish beauty is a budding natural FNC fox: She is breathtakingly gorgeous, and she seems to be rather comfortable in front of the camera. However, the F&FW viewer could sense that she was not entirely at ease today. But, it was her first time.

Kudos, Abby! You did well today. It was your first time on the curvy couch: And, if F&FW fans have their way, it will definitely not be your last.

[Author’s aside: Re the subtitle, supra, at the beginning of the third hour, Tucker introduced Abby, saying, “Abby Huntsman joining us on the couch for the first time: I hope not the last time! It’s been great.]

Ainsley’s Dream: F&F Finally

March 25, 2016

A month later: Too banal for breakfast or just right? Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt has definitely paid her FNC dues: As Glamour.com chronicles, Ainsley did overnight shifts on weekends; updates on the hour on weekday shows, e.g., Hannity; a short-lived stint as co-anchor of Fox & Friends Weekend; and, most recently, co-anchor of Fox & Friends First. And, finally, Ainsley landed her dream job, co-host of Fox & Friends.

But, now, Ainsley has to show her mettle: She has to prove that she has what it takes to successfully co-host cable news morning champ Fox & Friends. Previously, Ainz failed to do so when she co-anchored F&F Weekend with fellow tyros Clayton Morris and Dave Briggs: As faithful FNC viewers may well remember, former F&FW co-host and FNC utility player Alisyn Camerota had to return to the show to right the F&FW listing ship and to show the boys the ropes. After her subsequent stint as co-host of Fox & Friends First, hopefully, Ainsley has learned what tack to take: If she falters this time, at least,  she has seasoned veterans Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade on whom to fall back.

Even though Ainsley may not be the sharpest knife in the F&F drawer, she does seem to be one of the sweetest seasonings in the cupboard. Lately, the Southern belle has seemed to almost ape [split infinitive intended] her predecessor counterpart Northerner Elisabeth Hasselbeck. A little too saccharine for the author’s taste–not too mention a mite too modest post her brief Fox & Friends Weekend gig: But, she does seem to have the best of intentions to make Ailes proud and her viewers happy.

Sex it up, Ainsley! Don’t let the boys be the main reason that your viewers tune in in the morning. That’s never a good thing!

Ainsley: F&F’s New Queen

February 29, 2016

Ainsley Earhardt’s reign begins! Today, Ainsley finally achieved her dream of becoming queen of the curvy couch. On Leap Day 1016, she took the leap from Fox & Friends First co-host to the new co-anchor of Fox & Friends, i.e., the “Fox” in Fox & Friends.

As the show began, co-anchor Steve Doocy announced, “Today, we’re all a part of the “A Team” as in Ainsley because today it’s official: Ainsley Earhardt is the new host of Fox & Friends. Exchanging kisses, Steve exclaimed, “Welcome aboard!” Turning to co-anchor Brian Kilmeade, he remarked, “Come on and give her a kiss”: Subsequently, Ainsley and Brian embraced with kisses on the cheek. Beaming, Ainsley declared, “It’s wonderful to be here!”

As the segment ended, Steve remarked, “Alright, so today starts the Ainsley Earhardt Era here on Fox & Friends.” Introducing a montage of Ainsley’s past work [vid] as Fox & Friends fill-in, Fox & Friends Weekend co-host, Fox & Friends First co-anchor, and FNC reporter, Steve said, “We have put together a package to remind you that you have been watching her on American television right here on Fox for a very long. Watch!” After producers ran it, Brian queried, “Alright, so you are going to stick around?”

Smiling, Ainsley answered, “I’m going to stick around for a long time if you’ll have me.”

Brian responded, “Absolutely!”

Chiming in Steve exclaimed, “That’s great! Welcome aboard!”

Welcome aboard indeed, Ainsley: You’ve earned it!

Anna: “I’m Happy for the Opportunity”

January 18, 2016

Kilmeade: “You’re doing great!” Fox & Friends Weekend co-anchor Anna Kooiman does double duty and the Fox & Friends weekday boys seem to like it. Today, Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy opened the show, remarking, “Brian [Kilmeade], you know, you and I took off over the weekend, and she’s still here!”

Grinning Puckishly as ever, Brian replied, “It’s unbelievable!”

Smiling sweetly, Steve replied, “Anna has worked about twenty straight days. God bless her!”

Flattered, a chagrined Anna chuckled, “No, it hasn’t been that long! I’m happy for the opportunity! Thanks for having me on the couch!”

Aptly, Brian answered, “Yeah, you’re doing great!”

Indeed, Anna has been doing great as the “girl in the middle” on the F&F curvy couch as of late: And, she seems to be ready to take the reins without any real competition.

But, if Anna does take Elisabeth Hasselbeck‘s erstwhile spot on the F&F curvy couch, the obvious question is who will replace the vivacious blond beauty in the F&FW center seat.

Since Anna is reigning on both the F&F and F&FW curvy couches rather than having subs, e.g., Nicole Petallides, Kimberly Guilfoyle, etc., help her out, one begins to wonder if the FNC suits are waiting for F&F First co-anchor Ainsley Earhardt to return from maternity leave and to retake her old spot on the F&F Weekend curvy couch to ease the transition for Anna from the weekend to the weekday.

Between opinionated alpha male Tucker Carlson and peevish beta male Clayton Morris, Ainsley just might be that next sweet Southern belle that can continue to make F&FW work.

Mommy Ainsley: Baby Hayden

November 7, 2015

Earhardt: “Welcome to this world, Hayden Dubose Proctor.” Fox & Friends First co-host Ainsley Earhardt and her hubby Will Proctor were overjoyed at the arrival of their baby daughter Hayden yesterday. With accompanying pics, Ainsley ecstatically Tweeted, “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome our new baby girl, Hayden, into this world. My husband and I are overjoyed!!”

Elaborating, Ainsley remarked, “We love her so much already.” To her bundle of joy, she said, “Welcome to this world, Hayden Dubose Proctor.” And, with a photo of herself looking lovingly at her newborn Hayden happily ensconced in her bosom, Ainsley declared, “My heart. I will cherish these moments for the rest of my life.”

Re the requisite details, Ainsley Tweeted, “God answered prayers. She’s healthy & happy. 7 lbs. 13 oz, 20″ long. Blue eyes/brown hair.”

Congratulations, Ainsley and Will! And, welcome, Hayden Dubose!

[Author’s aside: Andrea Tantaros and Kimberly Guilfoyle embrace Hayden, respectively (pic 1, pic 2).]

Missing Ainsley? She’s on Maternity Leave

November 2, 2015

Earhardt: “Just pray for me!” Friday, Fox & Friends First co-host Heather Childress revealed that her co-anchor Ainsley Earhardt was going on maternity leave as their show concluded. But, Ainsley seemed to indicate that her departure just might be a bit more.

When Heather made her announcement, a crew member brought a bouquet of flowers and a few pieces of cake to a smiling Ainsley.

Smiling, Ainsley, exclaimed, “How wonderful! These are beautiful! Thank you, Matt!”

Interjecting, Heather declared, “We are really going to miss you, and we know that you are going to be a wonderful, wonderful mom.”

In reply, Ainsley said, “Oh, you’re so sweet! Thank you for your support. I love you!”

Turning to her audience, Ainsley continued, “I love all of you! Ya’ll have been so supportive and so loving. And next time I see you all, I’ll have a baby! Life is about to change!”

Chiming in, Heather said, “Yes, you will: Not sure if it’s going to be a baby boy or [a] baby girl.”

In response, Ainsley stated, “We don’t know! We’re going to be surprised.”

Opening up further with her fans more intimately, Ainsley disclosed, “I did find out [that] the baby is breached. So, we have a scheduled C-section for next Friday….Today’s my last day on air. I will be here for a few more days.”

Sounding almost as if her maternity leave were permanent, Ainsley again declared, “Today’s my last day on air. So, I’ve loved every minute of it. I feel so fortunate. And, just pray for me.” Then she added, “Pray for a healthy baby, please!”

Clutching her flowers, Ainsley concluded, “Thanks to our producers who gave us time to do this today. Ya’ll have all been wonderful. I just feel loved. And, ya’ll are all so special to me.”

Beaming, Ainsley blew her fans a big kiss, saying, “Thank you. Bye!”

Prayers for a good delivery and a healthy baby, Ainsley!

A F&F First: Nudity Allowed

April 25, 2015

“I’m so wasted!” Ainsley Earhardt and Heather Childers naked? For their naturalist viewers, the Fox & Friends First co-hosts made au naturel all natural.

Without warning, blond beauties Ainsley and Heather introduced a NSFW Watter’s World “Political Accomplishment Edition” segment by Jesse Watters to arouse their audience in the early morn to a little porn (April 04/14).* It was Jesse’s usual schtick of embarrassing hapless and clueless hotties and/or eccentrics about current events: This time, he ended his report with an interviewee who said that he was not yet “wasted” and a scene from Fast Times at Ridgemont High [NSFW clip (0.17/0.19)] of Jeff Spicoli (Sean Penn) who assuredly was. In the naughty vid, Spicoli proclaims, “I’m so wasted!”: On the wall in the background, there are two apparent Playboy pinup lovelies flaunting their full frontal nudity.

As the segment ended, Ainsley exclaims, “Oh, my word! Interesting!” Chuckling, Heather replied, “You never know what you’re going to get!”

Indeed, Ainsley and Heather! Playboy pinups on air? Another Fox & Friends First!

[Author’s aside: “Cleaning out my closet” [vid] as Eminem might say: Sorry, CD readers, that I did not get this F&FF story to you earlier.]

Ainsley: My Cheating Ex

November 26, 2014

Harris Faulkner: “That man was just a fool!” Strangely Fox & Friends First co-host Ainsley Earhardt was giving thanks a little early for a cheating lover Monday. In a segment on Outnumbered (about a “gene that hurts romance”), an aggrieved Ainsley remarked, “If I had known [about] this study, I would have tested the hair samples of some of the exes that cheated!”

As her Outnumbered co-hosts and #oneluckyguy former NYPD detective Bo Dietl chuckled, Ainsley exclaimed, “It would have told me they had the gene!”

Incredulously, Dietl queried, “They cheated on you?”

Flushed, a chagrined Ainsley admitted, “Well, I had one!”

Chiming in, co-anchor Harris Faulkner declared, “Well, that man was just a fool!”

Somewhat defensively, Ainsley asseverated, “And, listen, it was all good! It’s for the best. Now, I’m married to an amazing guy!”

Ainsley’s “amazing guy”? Former Clemson quarterback hubby Will Proctor. Ainsley’s cheating guy? Possibly, former hubby Kevin Wayne McKinney.

Ouch: Bad boys, don’t mess with a Southern Belle!

Kelly Wright: Kelly Wrong?

October 21, 2014

Fox & Friends First Foul? Oops! F&FF guest co-host Lea Gabrielle and FNC correspondent Kelly Wright appeared to try to pull a fast one on their viewers this morning.

In a segment on Monica Lewinsky’s speech to Forbes’ “30 Under 30 Summit” in Philly (Monday), Lea segued to the FNC reporter, saying, “For the first time ever, former White House intern Monica Lewinsky speaks publicly about her affair with President Bill Clinton.* Kelly Wright here now. Kelly, she’s waited a long time to speak: what is Lewinsky saying today?” [Italics added for emphasis.]

In response, Kelly replied, “She has waited a long time indeed: Monica Lewinsky delivering a speech this morning, Lea, to a thousand young entrepreneurs and…achievers at the Forbes’ “30 Summit.”

The only problem for Lea is that Lewinsky said it in Philly yesterday: As for Kelly, she seemingly said it yesterday morning. Apparently, F&FF producers wanted Kelly’s “hit” to appear live when it was not (if he accurately reported the story).

Lea and Kelly, your F&FF audience may be sleepy but they are awake.

Aly Debuts on CNN Tonight!

July 19, 2014

Not the best fit: But, a good start. Last night, former Fox & Friends Weekend co-anchor Alisyn Camerota made her grand debut on CNN–on CNN Tonight. Giving her fans little notice, she Tweeted an early evening missive, saying, “Thanks for asking when I’ll be back on-the-air. The answer is…tonight. 10pm – midnight et.w/@donlemon on #CNN. Hope you’ll tune in.” Of course, this long-time fan of Aly did just that.

As the two-hour special began, co-anchor Don Lemon and Aly introduced themselves and the two stories of the night, the downing of the Malaysian airline in the Ukraine and the “Showdown in Gaza.” Then, Don turned to Aly, saying, “And, Alisyn, I want to welcome you to CNN. It is an honor to work with you tonight, and it’s good to have you here.” Smiling, Aly answered, “Thanks so much! I’m happy to be here on such an important story.”*

As always, Aly was on her game–prescient, incisive, and sure-footed. However, she and Don seemed as if they were feeling each other out. And, Don appeared not necessarily quite ready to accede to Aly her equal billing.

According to Politico
, Aly, Don, and New Day co-host Chris Cuomo have piloted a show called “The 10 o’clock Show”–perhaps, a play on FNC’s The Five. Last night, adventitiously or not, Chris appeared on CNN Tonight and Aly commended him on his “great reporting.” In the author’s opinion, Aly, Don, and Chris seem like an odd platonic melange a trois for a CNN evening whereas Aly, John Berman, and Kiran Chetry would make for a much more dynamic trio at the dawn of a “New Day.”

*CNN Tonight – 07/18/14 (@ 10:01 p.m. ET).

Kiran Back–on CNN!

July 11, 2014

Comely Chetry: “Hope u watch!” This afternoon, former American Morning co-host Kiran Chetry proclaimed that she is back–Sunday on CNN Reliable Sources. After roaming two years in the desert, the Nepalese lovely has finally returned to her “Promised Land” of cable news. In missives to her Twitter followers and to her FB friends, she proclaimed, “Heading back to NYC after taping a segment w @brianstelter @CNN in DC for this week’s @CNNReliable. Hope u watch this Sunday 11AM est!”

The author shall indeed, Kiran. And, it is about time that you graced the airwaves anew! After arousing your acolytes for over a decade on both FNC (Fox & Friends First Fox & Friends Weekend) and CNN (American Morning) from the embrace of Morpheus, you’ll be a sight for sore eyes.

Welcome back, Kiran–and stick around for a while!

Cheryl Casone: Holiday Honey?

July 4, 2014

Lady in red lacking: But, four for Fourth! Today, blond beauty FBN anchor Cheryl Casone did double duty subbing for fellow towheads Ainsley Earhardt on Fox & Friends First and Martha MacCallum on America’s Newsroom. As Cheryl filled in ably for her vacationing FNC counterparts today, she seemed to think that today was all business and to forget that it is a fun national holiday.

Dressed aptly in a patriotic red dress, she wore it just a little too long o’er the knee–at least, by Ainsley’s standard and even the more demure Martha’s metric.  If was almost as if the tyro co-host were saying, “If you’re tuning in to F&FF and AN on Independence Day, you are such an FNC diehard that you are going to watch regardless of what I don or don’t.”

Nevertheless, it was delightful to see Cheryl finally sit in the F&FF and AN co-anchor chairs. The FBN jobs babe proved that she definitely has the potential to be an FNC anchor: I.e., she has the beauty–and brains. But, she may well want to remember that a visibly leggy blond goes a long way on the channel–especially, during the holidays.

Break a leg, Cheryl: Or, show ’em a bit more!

“Trashy, Porn-Star Looking Chick, Heather”?

April 6, 2014

Childers hits back hard: “Dana McCall, I’m…glad you aren’t my dentist.” Fox & Friends First co-host Heather Childers was not amused, in the least, by the diss of her fellow North Carolinian, Dr. Dana McCall, Thursday morning: The Raleigh cosmetic dentist had Tweeted (Childers’ cap1), “Flipped by FOXNEWS and saw the trashy, porn-star looking chick, Heather, who used to be at News14. When did THAT happen? Wow. Really….bad.”

Responding on Facebook to McCall’s disparaging remark, Heather wrote, “Normally, I wouldn’t comment about something like this but because I share several mutual friends with this person, Dana McCall, I felt compelled to do so. Subsequently, she shared his Facebook profile and his business website address with her FB friends. Before adding another McCall link, she concluded, “Dana McCall, I’m at least glad you aren’t my dentist. I don’t know you, but if I have offended you in some way, I’m sorry. Would you want this said about your wife or daughter?”

In a later FB post Thursday afternoon, Heather penned, “Hey! Thanks for all the kind comments! I didn’t post that tweet with that intention….[But, when] I discovered the person who posted it knows some of my friends it surprised me.” Dismissively, she declared, “Even on my worst “bad hair” day I don’t think [that] I look like a trashy porn-star :-).” Following up in another post, she acerbically added, “Sure, sometimes it gets to you: But THEY are the joke. Not you.”

Later, in an evening FB missive, the true-blue FNC co-host Heather announced, “‘Fair & Balanced’ Update. He apologized and I accept :-) Thank you Dana. Past my bedtime! See everyone at 5 am ET tomorrow! Goodnight.” And, so he had, less than twelve hours after his offense–probably after being bombarded on his FB page, his website, and his phone by irate Heather fans during the day: On Twitter (Childer’s cap2), the good doctor took his medicine, Tweeting, Hey, @HeatherChilders. Sorry about that tweet. Congratulations on your successes.” However, the cosmetic dentist apparently did some cosmetic surgery on his own mouth, at least, on his Twitter page: he deleted both his offensive Tweet about Heather and his subsequent apology to her.

Pinup Maria: She’s No “Angel”!

March 23, 2014

Molina: “The ride of my life….I passed out!” Flushed FNC meteorologist Maria Molina looked like a young Hollywood starlet who had just enjoyed “one wild ride” after she took the “ride of her life” with her Blue Angel escort.

Sharing her exciting personal encounter with one of America’s elite aviators on Fox & Friends First Wednesday, “Cosmo‘s Caliente Latina” gushed, “I had the incredible honor of flying with the Blue Angels and the experience blew my mind! Introducing her with footage of her flight, Maria exclaimed, “I knew it was going to be awesome. And, take a look for yourself at the ride of my life!”*

Subsequently, vid ran of Maria’s fearless navy flyer taking her on a fast steep climb, reaching six plus “g’s”: As he encouraged her on, Maria fainted and her helmeted head hit the cockpit glass hard. Coming too groggily, she reached frantically for the side of the cockpit, exclaiming, “I pa…I passed out!” When her sympathetic pilot answered, “Yeah. How you feeling?,” Maria repeated, “I passed out! What happened?” As she caught her breath, her Blue Angel asked, “We…pulled…some ‘g’ there: But, you back with me now?” Still light-headed, an ashen Maria reiterated, “Yeah! I passed out!”

As her Blue Angel clip continued with more aerial acrobatics to follow, voice-over Maria intoned, “So, what’s it like sitting in the cockpit of an F-18 jet? Well, it’s one wild ride!” As her “wild ride” ended and her plane taxied down the runway, on-vid Maria intoned, “Perfect landing!” When the cockpit cover opened for her to emerge, Maria look radiantly ruddy, demurely doe-eyed, and sensually smiling as if she were a pinup that once adorned America’s fearless fighter jets.

Maria Molina may be no “Angel”: But, the the navy boys seemed mighty happy to finally have their favorite pinup on their plane again–and, in person!

F&F: Ainsley Replaces Heather?

January 22, 2014

Elisabeth Hasselbeck: “I love seeing you in the morning.” Yesterday, Fox & Friends First co-host Ainsley Earhardt filled in for F&F newsreader Heather Nauert. Regrettably, only for the day.

And, seemingly, that is the sentiment that co-anchor Elisabeth Hasselbeck expressed mid-show Monday. Segueing to Ainsley to proclaim the headline news, Elizabeth exclaimed, “You know who looks good? Ainsley!”* Turning to Elizabeth with a big smile, Ainsley cooed, “Aww, you’re so sweet!” Feeling the love, Elisabeth aptly answered,  “I love seeing you in the morning!” Perhaps, presciently, Ainsley responded, “Thanks! I love being with you guys!”

Ainsley does fit in rather well with Elizabeth and the F&F boys. Even though she may not have that “alpha bitch” prerequisite a la Lis to co-host with Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade, the South Carolina belle does add her delightfully genteel manner–friendly, funny, and deferential to the “stars” of the show. Instead of the awkward ad hoc observations that Heather too oft makes, Ainsley facilitates a smooth transition from and back to the co-hosts.

For fans of the Chi-town chick (like White House press secretary Tony Snow who told her “God made you beautiful”), she is not bad to look at–at all. But, sometimes, the leggy blonde beauty is just a bit too perky and chirpy for the Fox & Friends dawn. Ironically, an hour earlier, paired with the other Heather (Heather Childers), she can be a delightful wake-up call.

F&FF: Wake up to Heather–in fact, both of them! F&F: But, greet the day with Ainsley and Lis!

*Fox & Friends – 01/21/14 (@ 7:34 a.m. ET).
