Sarah Palin: Dick “Never Misfires”

July 31, 2012

Greta: “He’s not afraid to say things about the women.” Former Vice President Dick Cheney got “b*tch slapped” tonight on On the Record for his dis of the former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as a “mistake” re her selection by 2008 Republican nominee John McCain as his running mate–by both Palin and host Greta Van Susteren. As if the blow-back from his daughter Liz were not enough for the “best VP ever.”

During her interview of Palin, Van Susteren gave the GOP base fave a chance to hit back hard at the Bush establishment’s Darth Vader. She asked, “Dick Cheney…said some words that he didn’t think that you were a particularly good choice 2008….Your response to Dick Cheney?”*

Grimacing and arching her eyebrows, Palin inhaled deeply and caustically said, “Well, seeings how Dick there.” Appearing to feign to catch herself in reverence for her ailing elder, Palin sarcastically continued, “Excuse me, Vice President Cheney never misfires, then evidently he’s quite convinced that what he had evidently read about me by the lame stream media…what I believe is a false narrative…and that’s a shame so he characterized me as being a mistake.”

Sympathetically, Van Susteren acerbically added, “I might note that Vice President Cheney took a little bit of a slap at Condaleeza Rice in his book, saying she got all teared up….He’s not afraid to say things about the women.”

And, these women are not afraid to say things back about “the man.”

Wherefore Art Thou, Juliet?

January 15, 2010

Where in the world is Juliet Huddy? Of late, the sexy siren is nowhere to be found on the Fox News network. In fact, so much so that Juliet junkies are exhibiting tell-tale DT’s.

Shortly before the blond beauty re-signed with FNC and immediately subsequent thereto, Juliet was almost everywhere. In the morning and early afternoon, she subbed for Gretchen Carlson on Fox & Friends, Megyn Kelly on America’s Newsroom, and Martha MacCallum on Live Desk. In the evening, she contributed on the “Dumbest Things” segment on the O’Reilly Factor with Greg Gutfeld. And, in the dark of night, she haunted Red Eye as a panelist in the vaunted “leg chair.”

Where is FNC’s foxy femme fatale? Who knows? Perhaps, Juliet will Tweet her undisclosed location to her Twitter followers.

According to Putin, that cold day in Hades may be approaching sooner than one may think.

“That’s Not Hard”: Stimulus Signing Bidenism

February 17, 2009

President Barack Obama must wish that his gaffe-prone vice president would just stick to the script.  During the President’s opening remarks today in Denver before signing the stimulus bill into law, he got sabotaged with yet another Bidenism. Less than a month after chastening his Vice President Joe Biden for his swipe at Chief Justice John Roberts concerning the flubbed inaugural oath, Biden took a shot at former Vice President Dick Cheney behind Obama’s back. As the President saluted Joe Biden as the “best Vice President that we’ve had in awhile,” Biden turned to an off-screen person, smiled, and mouthed, “That’s not hard.”

It was another less than subtle partisan snipe at his predecessor who he has decried as the “most dangerous vice president we’ve had probably in American history.” Not necessarily the most appropriate thing to do before the President inks his first major legislative accomplishment.

On the plane ride back to the White House, the President may well provide his Veep with a “little turbulence.”
