Dave’s beauty turns 40! Former Fox & Friends Weekend co-host and current NBC sports guy Dave Briggs let his fans know that his gal Brandi was still “one hot mama”! Celebrating his lovely lady’s 40th birthday in Sin City, Dave Tweeted, “Getting our VEGAS on for my hot wife’s 40th!!! To prove his point about the pretty pol mom of three kids, Dave included a pic of himself with his blond bronzed beauty, Brandi, proudly displaying her tanned, toned gorgeous gams.

Happy Birthday, Brandi! Hope you have fun with your lucky guy in Vegas.

Briggs: “What a good wife you would be”–and are! Current SportsDash co-host and former Fox and Friends Weekend co-anchor Dave Briggs proudly announced that his beauty Brandi Briggs was back on the political stage last night. Dave’s better half was nominated to run for Connecticut state rep by the Westport Republican Town Committee. The blond “barrister” beauty and mother of three will run against Dem Jonathan Steinburg to represent the 136th District.

Tearful Briggs Leaves F&FW

Dave: “I’m not going away! Just going somewhere else in the New Year.” Today, Fox & Friends Weekend co-anchor Clayton Morris dropped a bombshell this morning by announcing that co-host Dave Briggs is leaving their popular FNC morning weekend show. After the final half hour began with the “Shot of the Morning,” Clayton turned to Dave and their fellow co-anchor Alisyn Camerota, remarking, “I want to take a moment here because this is going to be the last time that the three of us…are going to be on the couch together. Looking down, Dave replied, “Wow! I didn’t expect you to say that: But, yeah, I am. I will be moving on.”

Tearing up, Dave continued, “I will miss the two of you more than I can speak. You’ve made me better and you’ve made the show better. You’ve been my work family!”

Growing emotional, too, Clayton interjected, stammering, “Likewise, man! It’s like a, like losing, you know, having a brother leave, you know, with a family and move on.”

Chiming in, Aly exclaimed, “We will miss you so much, Dave!”

Sentimentally, Dave stated, “I will miss you both! It’s been the best show, best job of my life. I will never have a job I enjoy more, no matter where I go.” Looking into the camera at his fans, he assuring stated, “But, you will see me. I’m not going away! Just going somewhere else in the New Year but it’s been a wonderful experience here.”

As to Dave’s departure date, Aly explained, “Dave will be through here through the end of the year: But, I won’t be working during these shows.”

Sounding as if he may be leaving Fox News to boot, Dave declared, “But, I should say thanks to…Roger Ailes, and to Bill Shine, and Suzanne Scott, and some of the people who brought me here as well. And, all the producers who have helped me out for a couple of years. But, I just, I love you guys!” Then, as FNC meteorologist Rick Reichmuth appeared in a split screen shot, Dave added, “And, Rick, Rick has been my confidante and my office mate. And, you guys are, you’re my family: I’ve never had a work family….Damn, I’m gonna miss it!”

Nodding his head for emphasis, Rick replied, “We’re gonna miss you, Dave! But, you know, the good part is you’re not moving anywhere….This is Aly’s and this is my last day with you, Dave. So, it been wonderful to have you here: And, we will miss you a ton.”

So, where will Dave be? Before his big announcement, a Twitter follower asked, “What’s with the beard cutie?”: In answer to his avatar change, Dave cryptically Tweeted, “Explanation coming soon…”

Perhaps, much more telling, in the final segment of F&FW today, Aly gave Dave multiple pairs of hosiery as a parting present, saying, “So, Dave, I don’t know if your new co-anchor is gonna want to match her outfit to your socks: But, if so, I have gotten you some possibly anchor-friendly new socks to match with her outfits.” Seemingly, confirming that he will be co-hosting a new show with a new female co-host, he answered,”I think she’s gonna love them!”

Pleading with his fans for their continued loyalty in his future endeavor, Dave subsequently Tweeted, “I will miss our viewers almost as much as Clayton, Aly & Rick. I really appreciate every one of you and hope you stick w/me in 2013…”

“Ringless” Briggs Gets Bawdy

Dave: “There’s a lot happening down there.” Oops! Naughty Fox & Friends co-host Dave Briggs may just receive some coal in his stocking on Christmas morn this year from his beauty Brandi. Perhaps, rightly so. For two days straight, Dave has reverted to his old habit of “forgetting” his wedding band: To make matters worse for himself, he got a bit bawdier than usual to boot!

Returning from the first half-hour commercial break,  a somewhat muted Dave began to promo a tipping segment.* When he did, his co-anchor Clayton Morris interjected, “I’ll give you a tip if you pull your microphone out of your pocket.” As Dave pulled his mic from his pants and high-fived Clayton, his co-host Alisyn Camerota laughed, “That’s the best tip of the day!”

Ribaldly, Clayton remarked, “Although it sounded great in your pants!”

Stroking his nose puckishly, Dave bawdily declared, “There’s a lot happening down there!”

As Clayton chuckled at Dave’s priapic posit, Aly smirked and rolled her eyes, remarking, “Alright. Most people aren’t looking for that kind of tip! They’re looking for a monetary tip.”

After watching her bad boy on Sunday’s show, Brandi may be looking for her own “tip” (or Christmas extra). Albeit a slightly larger one!

Juliet: Dave & Clayton’s “Babelicious Wives”!

Brandi Briggs & Natali Morris: The wives of Fox & Friends Weekend. Just who are these “babelicious wives” of F&FW co-anchors Dave Briggs and Clayton Morris that F&FW guest co-anchor Juliet Huddy so animatedly dubbed this morning (after Brandi called in to wish Dave a “Happy Father’s Day with an an accompanying fam photo)? Dave’s better half is blonde beauty, Brandi nee Moreland, and Clayton’s lovely is raven-haired lovely, Natali nee Del Conte.

First, Dave’s beloved Brandi is one of four children of “Dealin’ Doug” Moreland (2011 TIME Dealer of the Year) and his wife Carol of Colorado. She got her B.S. from Boston College and a law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law. While a law student, Brandi ran in 2002 as the Republican candidate for the Colorado State House of Representatives District in an unsuccessful bid. After graduation, Brandi practiced law in Boston. Second, Clayton’s love Natalie hails from the San Francisco Bay Area. She received her California State University (Hayward) bachelor’s degree in journalism and her USC master’s degree from USC in sociology. Before venturing off into the geeky tech world and social media, Natali explored her more sensual self as a yoga instructor. Subsequently, she has written for WIRED, MarketWatch, Variety Magazine, etc.; appeared as a contributor/regular guest BBC, FNC, Univision, etc.; served as a CNET TV news network. Now, Natali is CNBC tech contributor, “mommy blogger,” and, more importantly, mother of two (Miles and Ava). Brandi Briggs Delivers: Dave’s New “Valentine”

Logan: “Isn’t she lovely?” Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Dave Briggs and his wife Brandi welcomed their newest daughter, Logan Briggs, to their family yesterday, Valentine’s Day. To the tune of Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely?” this morning, F&F co-anchor Brian Kilmeade announced the birth of Logan as producers aired the “Shot of the Day,” a lovely sleeping Logan wearing a cute pink hoodie and swaddled in a cozy baby blanket. Dave and Brandi’s literal bundle of love weighed 6 lbs. 11 oz. Logan is the youngest of three: her sibs include older sister Emerson and big brother William. Her doting dad dubbed her “my Valentine.”

Dave, remember that bottle of Dom that you “promised” on F&FW Sunday to give Brandi if she had it on Valentine’s Day: she certainly deserves it. Congratulations, Dave and Brandi!

Update 2: Carpe Diem correction. Even though Dave announced the birth of Logan in a Valentine Day Tweet and called her his Valentine, she was actually born a day earlier. After the “Shot of the Day,” actually multiple pics of Dave’s newborn, Juliet queried, “She was born the day before Valentine’s Day, wasn’t she?” Dave answered, “She was born on Monday. Dave Briggs: Surviving Chauvinism?

“If you want to yap..go watch it [the Super Bowl]…with the ladies in the kitchen.”* This morning, Fox News Weekend co-host Dave Briggs put his seemingly chauvinistic big foot in his mouth again this morning with another diss to the “ladies.” Unfortunately, neither he nor his TV wife Alisyn Camerota could quite successfully extract it.

During a segment entitled “Surviving a Super Bowl Party,” Dave declared that a Wall Street Journal author had called the game a “no shushing event.” Then, he scoffed, “I have to take issue with this….I’m not there for the commercials like my friend [Aly] here. I’m there for the game and the commentary. I don’t want you yapping!”  Looking into the camera at his audience directly (and then at Aly), he regrettably remarked, “If you want to yap out[side] of the commercials, go watch it in [sic] the other TV with the ladies in the kitchen.”

Not all of Dave’s F&FW audience were overly amused. One such viewer, Nicole Pinkham, took issue with Dave’s errant aside, Tweeting, “@davebriggstv @ClaytonMorris @AlyatFox Dave…you did not just say “watch with the ladies in the kitchen”…really?!?…c’mon man!!!” Coming “dutifully” to Dave’s defense, Aly artfully answered, “He was probably just dissin me!” Not helping himself in the least, Dave daftly added, “All the ladies at my party watch in the kitchen.”

Dave, Dave, were those “ladies” at your party driven there by their hubbies who would not let them drive either?

[Author’s aside: Long-time viewers of Fox & Friends Weekend may remember the significance of the author’s final gibe at poor Dave’s expense. Slightly over three years ago, Carpe Diem took the F&FW co-anchor to task for saying, “I love my wife, and I don’t let her drive,” and his subsequent inept explanation, “I have to clarify: I do let my wife drive whenever she wants—just not when I’m in the car.” In response to the author, Dave defensively declared, “My wife can do whatever she wants whenever she wants. I made an attempt [at] a joke, albeit a poor one….No man who marries a strong, smart, driven lawyer [Brandi Moreland] is a chauvinist.” And, dear reader, he probably is not: But, his comments today certainly did not further his case.]

Dave’s Nervous Cough: Petallides’ Allure?

 Nicole: “You did a great job getting through that.” This morning, Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Dave Briggs seemed somewhat nervous as he interviewed FBN beauty Nicole Petallides. Introducing her business segment (“Another One Bites the Dust: Gov’t-Backed ‘Green’ Co. Goes Bankrupt”), Dave abruptly began to cough repeatedly.* When he did so the second time, he laughed, “Not going to get through this one.”

When the comely Nicole appeared on camera, Dave joked, “Green jobs makes [sic] me cough, apparently.” Clad in her low-cut blue top and a short black skirt, the chuckling Greek lovely cooed, “It makes other people do other things, even worse.” Glancing down at her gorgeous gams and putting his hand to his mouth (as if to suppress yet another cough), a smiling Dave replied, “Right. That’s where I was going with that.”

Subsequently, the brainy beauty tutored an attentive Dave (on the millions of taxpayer dollars being lost on green projects of “Friends of the President”). When barely a minute had elapsed, Dave looked down at Nicole’s sexy stems anew and coughed once more. After an intervening query and,  yes, still another cough, Dave concluded his interview, “earnestly” asking Nicole a follow-up question (on private sector investment): as his luscious lecturer began to opine in her dulcet tones, Dave looked at her almost lovestruck and then dreamily turned away with a goofy grin.

When Nicole had finished, Dave more soberly remarked, “Nicole Petallides from the Fox Business Network. We appreciate it.” Smiling sweetly at Dave, Nicole responded, “Thanks. You did a great job getting though that.” Aptly, Dave answered, “Trying to get through this, right?”

Poor Nervous Nelly. Perhaps, the F&FW co-host that The Tonight Show host Jay Leno lampooned for having an appreciative eye for his FOX-y colleagues (or, to be more exact, the bonny bums of Ainsley Earhardt and Janice Dean) should be given a pass today. After all, it’s the birthday of Dave’s beautiful wife Brandi.

Brandi’s Due Date

Hubby Dave Briggs brags, “I’m next!” This morning, Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Dave Briggs played the proud papa of three: two here now and one well on the way.

As F&FW began this morning, co-anchor Clayton Morris urged the camera to close in on Dave’s cuff links. When it did, Dave delightedly displayed the present that his wife Brandi–or, as he said with finger quotes, his kids–had given him. On his left cuff was a photo of his six-year-old daughter Emerson and on his right was a pic of his younger son William. As usual, Dave was wearing his heart on his sleeve–but, this time, literally.

Just an hour and half later, Dave announced the due date of his “3rd in the oven” of his beautiful wife Brandi. After F&FW producers aired a pic of an FNC colleague holding a newborn child in a hospital, Dave animatedly announced, “I’m next! Mid-February! Well, my wife, not me.”*

A Valentine’s gift? Too sweet. Congratulations again, Dave and Brandi!

Dave: Brandi’s “3rd in the Oven!”

“Brandi, you’re a fine [chef], what a good wife”! Thursday Fox & Friends Weekend co-anchor Dave Briggs joyfully announced that he and his wife Brandi are having their third child. Subtly prefacing his revelation, Dave Tweeted, “I’m a proud daddy, my daughter just boarded the school bus for the first time!” As if it were a mere afterthought, the proud papa proclaimed, “Maybe a good time to announce we have a 3rd in the oven!”

Dave and Brandi have been married eight years (as of August 2). They are the proud parents of six-year-old daughter Emerson and younger brother William. As to their “3rd in the oven,” hopefully, Dave will reveal Brandi’s due date soon.

“Princess” Dave: Lord of the Ring?

“It’s to take you off the market!” Fox & Friends Weekend own royal co-anchor “Princess” Dave Briggs seemed to pine for England’s Prince William, or, at least, his purported regal right, not to wear a wedding ring. During two different royal wedding segments Saturday and Sunday past, Dave reminded himself, his guests, and his viewers that wearing a wedding ring was to “take you off the market” and less than convincingly claimed that he himself loved wearing his own every day.

On Saturday, Dave presided over an F&FW debate subtitled “Breaking with Tradition: Prince William Won’t Wear a Ring” (between The Princess of Nowhere author Prince  Lorenzo Borghese and eponymous match-making company founder Amy Laurent). Initiating the discussion, Dave declared, “We wear a ring for a reason, Lorenzo. It’s to honor the institution; it’s to honor your wife; [and] it’s to take you off the market!”* Later, to Laurent, he elaborated, “A lot of wives want their man to wear a ring to kind of take them off the market.”

Then, on behalf of the British royal and, perhaps, himself, he queried, “I think that we all are going to know that Prince William is off the market: so, why should he have to wear one? He says [that] he’s not a jewelry guy: is that okay?” When Laurent objected to his proposition, Dave declared, “Well, I don’t like to wear jewelry: I wear my ring everyday.” For those who missed it the first time, he happily iterated, “I’m not a jewelry guy: I wear my ring.”

However, on Sunday, co-anchor Alisyn Camerota called Dave’s claim into question before their interview with psychologist Jeffrey Gardere about Prince Williams’ regal prerogative. Introducing the topic, Aly asserted, “You heard it here yesterday: The prince and his fiancee, Kate Middleton, have decided [that] it’s okay for him not to wear a wedding band. But what does that say about his decision and other men who don’t wear wedding bands about their personality?”** As she said “and other men who don’t wear wedding bands,” she turned to Dave with an impish smile. In response, a beaming Dave pursed his lips, arched his eyebrows, and mischievously muttered, “Hmm.”

Subsequently, Dr. Gardere answered, “[I]t tells me that, perhaps, his commitment is not there as much as his bride who wants to wear the wedding band…because we know [it] is a physical, emotional, [and] spiritual connection to your partner and a commitment. And, of course, when your partner wears it out, it says that ‘hey, I belong to someone else.’ So, for the good Prince to not want to wear one, I think [that] it goes back to some old sexist views that women are property to men.”

Coming to the defense of the fair Prince, Dave declared, “Well, I mean, when you’re getting married in front of hundreds of millions, perhaps, a billion people, every woman in the world will know he’s married. So, he doesn’t need that, that mark to take him off the market.” Interjecting, a grinning Gardere leaned forward and exclaimed, “‘That mark,’ he says. You heard that, Aly? The mark!” Defensively, Dave declared, “Well, look, I love wearing the, I love wearing a wedding ring–but, it’s very different when you’re Prince William [who] everyone knows [is] married.” Later, he added, “Okay, Middleton reportedly says [that] she’s okay with it.”

In Dave’s “good old days,” Dave’s wife Brandi seemed “okay” with Dave not wearing his ring.  In fact, after the author noted its absence almost two years ago, Dave soon thereafter explained, “I forget where I put my wedding ring all the time….My wife knows this.” Five days later, Dave wished Brandi a happy sixth anniversary in an F&FW on-air phone call without a wedding band on his hand: when a concerned Twitter follower noted the absent ring three weeks later, Dave explicated, “Ahh yes my wedding ring, I did lose it a few weeks ago and have been scrambling around looking for it. I am very happily married.”

Nevertheless, Brandi appeared to revoke Dave’s license a few months thereafter. Perhaps, she wanted to make sure that such guests as the incredibly sexy Miss Universe 2009 Stefania Fernandez and suddenly single guest co-hosts Ainsley Earhardt knew that her boy was “off the market.” Now, Dave loves to wear his wedding ring every day.

Dave: Living the Life of Riley

“Off this weekend”: again. Two weeks ago, Fox & Friends Weekend co-anchor Dave Briggs was basking in the sun on the beautiful beaches of Mexico with his beautiful wife Brandi and their two children, Emerson and William. This weekend, he was enjoying the slopes of  breathtaking Breckenridge Mountain with them. Generously, Dave invited his fans along for the ride–at least, a vicarious one–with Tweets and photos.

Chronicling his Colorado vacation daily for his Twitter followers this week, Dave began (Tuesday), “Just took my 3-year-old [William] skiing for the first time at @breckenridgemtn so I’m one proud dad.” Awed by the majesty of his mountain playground (Wednesday), Dave remarked, “10K ft above sea level & 50 degrees in March @breckenridgemtn, no wonder they call #Colorado ‘God’s Country!'” Subsequently, sharing his “Irish” spirit with a toast and a pic (Thursday), ” Dave declared, “Before chairlift ‘tips up’ it’s #Guiness ‘bottoms up’ on St. Patty’s Day @breckenridgemtn, cheers!” Then, yesterday, as a kind courtesy to his followers and fans, Dave announced, “Gonna miss @AlyatFox & @ClaytonMorris tomorrow but stayin up w/ my wife, #MarchMadness & @breckdistillery is NICE! As of today, Dave has not yet updated his status with his activities but his F&FW co-host Clayton Morris did (during the show) stating, “Dave Briggs…is off this weekend.”*

Clayton: “My Beautiful Wife Natali”

Unveiled! Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Clayton Morris finally introduced his new bride Natali Morris nee Del Conte to his F&FW audience on Christmas Day. Almost five months ago, co-anchor Dave Briggs had teased viewers with her identity when referring to the mother of Clayton’s newly arrived child as merely Natali. More recently, approximately two weeks ago, Clayton briefly displayed an album of his son Miles (which included photos of Natali with Miles) but made no mention of Natali. However, yesterday, Clayton proudly showed off Natali to his F&FW fans and proudly proclaimed her to be “my beautiful wife Natali.”

In the final segment of the 2010 Fox & Friends Christmas edition Friday, producers aired holiday photos of the on-air co-hosts’ respective families. When a photo of a duo of diminutive dogs with bows in their hair ran, Ainsley intoned, ” Here are my babies. That’s Sacks Fifth Avenue on the left and Sassy Girl on the right.”* Then, as a pic of Dave and his family appeared sitting in front of the Christmas tree, Dave declared, “My family, my wife Brandi, my beautiful kids, Emerson and William. Merry Christmas to you guys!” Subsequently, as a photograph of Clayton (holding Miles) and Natali standing in front of the Christmas tree aired, Clayton announced, “And, there’s my beautiful wife Natali and my first little bundle of joy Miles on his first Christmas.”

Yes, Clayton may have appeared to have wait a wee bit long to introduce his new wife Natali to all of the Fox & Friends Weekend family. However, perhaps, appropriately, Clayton waited until this season of love and Advent to introduce her. Regardless, Merry Christmas, Natali!

Playbunny Aly Arouses

Rick Reichmuth: There’s about to be a wardrobe malfunction.” Clad in her cleavage-baring, sexy short red dress, Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Alisyn Camerota got the rapt attention of FNC meteorologist Rick Reichmuth and the rest of her male admirers Saturday as she tried on a pink Hoodie-Footie Saturday during the After the Show Show. Having donned it during the regular show, apparently, Aly acted as if she were reluctant to try it on once again.

When the After the Show Show started, Dave asked where the Hoodie-Footie was. When Aly answered that she did not know, Dave theatrically walked off the set, searching for it and demanding that she “put it back on before we leave today.” As Dave sought her “mislaid” garb, Aly explained to viewers that co-anchors Dave and Clayton Morris had given it to her last year as a gift and that it looked basically like a giant bunny suit. Then, as producers played Shaftesque make-out music, a smiling Aly alluring elaborated, “Not the kind of bunny suit they have at Hugh Hefner’s place: it’s a different kind of bunny suit. This one I don’t think arouses quite the same interest level in the viewers.”

Soon thereafter, Dave finally returned with the Hoodie-Footie and handed it to Aly. As Aly struggled to slip her beautiful bare gams into the legs of the unwieldy suit, a staring Rick seemed mesmerized by F&FW’s sexy siren. As Aly continued to raise her stems in his direction in her attempts to don the Hoodie-Footie, Rick chuckled, “There is about to be a wardrobe malfunction going on right now.” No preening prig, Aly riposted, “I know, I appreciate…that you’re monitoring it closely. I see that, Rick. I notice.” Aptly interjecting, Dave declared, “We’re trying to drive viewership to the After the Show Show.”

Continuing to do just that, Dave asked Aly to pose for a photo with her leg up to show off the Footie. After Aly playfully complied and some subsequent casual chatter about the attributes of her attire ensued, Aly commented, “My body temperature has soared to about 105 right now. Just  putting it on, you get instantly hot in here.” Without a moment’s hesitation, Dave gazed down and grabbed his comely co-host’s foot, declaring, “Oh, wait a minute! You can unzip the feet if you have the hot–my wife has what’s called the hot feet [and] her feet get really hot. Sorry honey. Yeah, she calls them ‘the hot feet.'”

As Dave stripped Aly’s foot bare, Aly asserted, “I don’t really think we should show the viewers my toes.” Undeterred, Dave pulled her “stocking” off her foot and twirled it about like a cinematic ecdysiast and threw it suggestively toward the viewers. Looking on, Rick observed, “You have just a whole new search thing for Alisyn.” Alisyn added, “A whole new website. I love it!”

And, so do many of Aly’s faithful F&FW fans.

Ms. Briggs’ Bra: “Miraculous”?

Mr. Briggs: “She doesn’t need any help!” Fox & Friends Weekend co-anchor Dave Briggs proclaimed that his wife Brandi’s bosom was ample enough. During the Victoria’s Secret Christmas segment, FNC correspondent Courtney Friel asked Victoria Secret Angels Erin Heatherton, Chanel Iman, Andriana Lima, and Lily Aldridge for suggestions for holiday gift that male viewers could give the women in their lives. After the sexy supermodels had given their helpful hints, a naughty Courtney showed Erin and Andriana a large photo of Dave and asked what he should get for his wife.

Pointing to a racy red Santa outfit, Erin replied, “I think he should go for that: you know, make it crazy!”* However, Andriana made it much more personal: Looking into the camera and holding up a sexy ebony bra, a sultry Andriana purred, “Dave, would you like to see your wife in this, the Miraculous Bra? Let me tell you what it does: It adds two cup sizes. Would you like your wife to have two extra cup sizes? Yes?” Nodding her head eagerly in agreement, Courtney spicily interjected, “Why not! The more the merrier!”

Subsequently, when Courtney concluded her report and segued back to the co-anchor trio, she quickly recommended a purple diaphonous top for Aly and a scarlet Jingle Bell Bikini for Clayton. Taking the toss, the co-hosts laughed at Courtney’s strange suggestion for Clayton while Clayton comically acted as if her were wearing those distaff undies then and there. Next, the conversation turned briefly to Courtney’s pick for Aly. When it was time for Dave to address the supermodels’ suggestions for him as to Brandi, Dave deftly diverted the discussion back to Clayton, asking, “How are those riding up on  you?”

On to Dave’s ploy, Clayton tersely answered, “Good,” and then quickly noted, “Wait, Dave didn’t manage to comment on his.” Without replying, Dave began to read out the segment. Perhaps, remembering Adriana’s remark about the benefits of the Miraculous Bra for Brandi and realizing that he had better say something in her defense, Dave suddenly stopped and emphatically declared, “She doesn’t need any help!”

In other words, Brandi, you [really] are a fine girl.

Dave: “The Briggs Girls”

Proud Papa Briggs. As Fox & Friends Saturday returned from break for its final half hour, a giant screen appeared with a photo of a lovely auburn-tressed little girl and her beautiful blond mother. From the background, a doting Dave declared, “Aw! That is the Briggs girls. I want to say ‘Happy Birthday’ to my daughter Emerson this morning. She is five years old this morning!” With a shout-out to his sweetie, Dave added, “My wife Brandi there.”

Joining in the celebration, Aly asserted, “Oh, my gosh! Big landmark birthday. Emerson, happy birthday!” Clapping his hands, Clayton cheerfully commented, “Wow! Happy birthday! She’s got a great [inaudible] now because she’s got a birthday and then Christmas, gifts kinda like back to back.” Perhaps, remembering the impending distaff festivities, sports guy Dave almost ruefully replied, “Oh, it’s brutal at the Briggs’ house! We’re heading to the salon today for hair and makeup. That’s were the party is.”

Dave, a sweet dad. And, Emerson, happy belated birthday!

Father Morris Meddles?

Fox & Friends Weekend co-hosts: Pray together with significant other tomorrow morning? The usually nimble Father Jonathan Morris, an FNC contributor, may have gone from preaching to “meddling” this morning on F&FW. During his segment entitled “Pray Together, Stay Together” (concerning a new study published in the August edition of Journal of Marriage and Family), Father Jon noted that only 0.3% of “couples that pray together every day…end up separating.”* As he concluded his story, he pointed in turn to F&FW co-hosts, Dave Briggs, Courtney Friel, and Clayton Morris, asking, “So tomorrow morning, yes, yes, with your spouses?”

Perhaps, not expecting Father Jon to directly apply his homily to them, the three co-hosts looked rather sheepish. With widened eyes, Courtney reluctantly shook her head “yes.” Clayton, perhaps, in the most awkward position, deftly deflected the padre’s query, riposting, “I’ll be praying.” Hedging, Dave answered, “We will keep that in mind.”

Dave: “Honey, Get the Nurse Outfit Out!”

“Brand[i], you’re a fine girl.” And, apparently, “what a good wife” she is to hubby Dave Briggs, co-anchor of Fox & Friends Weekend. Seemingly, away at sea for far too long, Dave was pining for his own Brandi, not the bar maid (celebrated by the group Looking Glass). When his co-host Alisyn Camerota announced that “couples [were] being invited to New York’s Times Square…[to ‘pucker up’]…today to recreate [the] iconic World War II photo of a kiss between a nurse and a U.S. sailor,” an off-camera Dave appeared more than ready as he seemed to be making kissing sounds in the background.

When Aly concluded her story, Dave saltily asked, “Do you have to dress as a nurse and a sailor? I know my wife’s on the way down but I don’t know if she has her nurse outfit handy.” Smiling, Aly racily remarked, “It may make the kiss somehow naughtier.” His interest apparently piqued, Clayton stuttered, “Get her, get her to get the nurse outfit out?” Turning to the camera, Dave randily commanded, “Honey, get the nurse outfit out!”

Then, goatishly grinning before looking down, he chuckled, “I’m not saying there is a nurse outfit but…. Putting her hand toward Dave’s forehead, Aly saucily suggested, “Dave has a temperature: it’s time for the nurse outfit.” Carnally arching his eyebrows, Clayton concluded, “Dave’s blushing. We know where that nurse outfit’s hidden.”

Brandi, with Dave’s wedding ring off of his finger today, you may want to hurry.

Clayton: “Help Me Out”

Fox & Friends Weekend co-hosts Dave Briggs and Alisyn Camerota tried to do just that during a divorce segment Saturday. As the three co-anchors, Dave, Aly, and Clayton Morris discussed an DailyBeast.com article about predictors of divorce, Dave and Aly took the lead. As they went through various divorce risk factors (e.g., both spouses’ respective parents have divorced and remarried, and/or have twins or triplet, only one spouse smoking, etc.) both Dave and Aly talked about their personal marriages. Dave revealed that both he and his wife Brandi’s respective parents had been divorced and had remarried but did not argue about money. Likewise, Aly disclosed that she and her husband Tim also both had parents who had divorced and remarried and that they furthermore have twins. However, a ringless Clayton remained conspicuously silent about his own marriage to Sara and merely kidded about an old college girlfriend who smoked.

As the segment ended, Dave joked, “Both your parents divorced, remarried, you [Aly] have twins. Tim, I’m sorry: retain a lawyer, my friend, because the two of you are in deep trouble!”* Aly replied, “Oh, no, no. There is good news and we’ll show that later. There is good news for marriages but you’ll have to stick around for that.” Clayton smiled, raised his eye brows, and interjected, “Can’t wait for that. Help me out.”

Indeed, Dave and Aly already had.

Clayton & Dave Scorn Sponsor

Fox & Friends Weekend co-anchors Clayton Morris and Dave Briggs irreverently mocked their F&FW sponsor Red Lobster yesterday. As to the casual dining restaurant’s current promotional offering, Clayton Tweeted, “If I ever told a woman that I’m going to take her to Red Lobster tonight for their Festival of Shrimp I’d never hear from her again.” Finding his tweak about a Fox News advertiser somewhat surprising, the author replied, “Clayton, b careful. U may have offended a certain F&F demo & isn’t/wasn’t Red Lobster a Beck sponsor? U may want 2 recant. :),” Unrepentant, Clayton responded, “@Jakeho Why would I recant? I speak my mind and “Festival of Shrimp” is hilarious. So is the Snuggie and you didn’t see me pulling punches.”

Since Clayton, apparently, had not noticed the author’s smiling emoticon and thus took the recantation call seriously, the author answered, “@claytonmorris No need to, Clayton: I Tweeted in jest. Just bring “it” tomorrow to F&FW! No, not the shrimp nor the Snuggie but your credo.”

About an hour later, Dave supportively stood by his friend and colleague Clayton. He Tweeted, “I’m in! RT @ClaytonMorris: If I ever told a woman I’m taking her to Red Lobster tonight for Festival of Shrimp I’d never hear from her again.”

As to the erstwhile Doublemen Twins, it is refreshing to see them exhibit some good old F&FW moxie. For the sake of Clayton and Dave, hopefully, Red Lobster’s parent company Darden (“the world’s largest full-service restaurant company”) has a good sense of humor. Furthermore, hopefully, their fans and followers who are less economically advantaged than the co-anchors will not take umbrage at what could be considered to be a slight to their non-upscale dining.

Caveat to Clayton’s lady and Brandi Briggs: If your man offers to take you to Red Lobster’s “Festival of Shrimp,” he may be sending you a message.
