Megyn vs. The Donald: There’s no such thing as bad publicity. If one truly believes that gals and guys are equal, they have to embrace the warrior women a la the Army Ranger School graduates: Ergo, when Kelly Files anchor Megyn Kelly takes on Donald Trump she should be prepared for war.
As Carpe Diem readers know, the author is a true fan of Megyn Kelly: Also, the author is an admirer of Trump since reading his book “Trump: The Art of the Deal.” The author finds it amusing that FNC’s CEO and Chairman Roger Ailes would be calling for The Donald to issue an apology for “an unprovoked attack” calling Megyn a “bimbo.”
Megyn is a “big girl” now. She does not need any white knight to save her: She is no damsel in distress. And, every FNC Twitterer that whines about how Trump is treating their nighttime queen makes Megyn look weak and feeble. Their “noble efforts” simply say she is not tough enough for the real world of politics: I.e., our queen can not go to battle or to war against the big boys.
Megyn can fight. And, so can “The Donald.” Let them fight: And, let them both get better ratings!

Like you said, Meagyn is one tough individual that is tough enough to remove “The Donald” from his perch. His off key intelligence, and his strong amount of hubris will eat to the level of self-defeat.

Re Roger Ailes’s remarks, I’m somewhat conflicted. His defense of Megyn seems somewhat sexist, i.e., that she needs a protector: On the other hand, I think that his motive to take care of his talent is commendable. But, does anyone think that he would really be issuing a statement in defense of Bill O’Reilly in similar circumstances?

I was surprised there wasn’t a negative reaction to Trump’s tweet of Megyn returning from vacation…”The bimbo is back.”

I like Megyn, but I think people forget that reporting the news is a “job.” Like some of the other Fox News ladies, i.e. Hasselbeck, Carlson, Prann, Nauert, Pettalides, Faulkner, and Banderas, she likes being a mom. Ainsley is excited to become a mom, and I hope Fox News continues to accommodate them.
BTW does anyone know if Lea Gabriele is still at Fox News? Haven’t seen her in a few months, and she is a welcomed addition.

Lea mostly works on Shep’s show.

One reason I asked about Lea was for a few Weeks she wss getting some air time on Fox and Friends and Fox and Friends First doing some substituting and reporting.
I like Hasselbeck, but it seems Fox is giving her additional time off, like the way Gretchen was treated. My favorite fill in host for Hasselbeck is Kimberly Guilfoyle. Fox also seems to make concessions for Maria Molina, who is engaged, and I believe Janice Dean has a part time schedule.
One lady I like who does some filling in is Patti Anne Browne. If you look at her background, she really worked hard in her younger days, starting from the ground floor. I am wondering who will do most of the substituting in the months to come when Ainsley goes on leave.

Well, my favorite is Heather Nauert. She is head and shoulders above Megyn Kelly and doesn’t appear to have the mean streak Kelly displays. I’d like to see more of Heather

I like Heather Nauert as well. I recall one of the first times I noticed her was filling in one weekend at Fox and Friends. I am glad she is a regular now on the weekday show as a reader, and she did a large amount of substituting on Happening Now when Jenna Lee was on leave.
I also respect Shannon Bream and Harris Faulkner.
