Out with the old: in with the new? New Fox & Friends co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck shakes things up again as she replaces long-time co-host Megyn Kelly of FNC’s All American New Year. Announcing the news today (as the final hour of F&F began), co-anchor Steve Doocy exclaimed, “Ladies and gentlemen, Miss New Year’s Eve is sitting right next to us right here!” Meanwhile, a full-screen banner blared, “All American New Year w/ Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Bill Hemmer“: Chiming in, co-host Brian Kilmeade queried, “Are you excited? You’re going to be hosting with Bill Hemmer!” Taking it all in stride, the leggy lovely demurely responded, “I’m just going to be Bill Hemmer’s sidekick bringing in the New Year with everybody. We are thrilled! 11 p.m. December 31st, New Year’s Eve.”

It won’t be the same without Megyn. Megyn and Bill have such great chemistry because it is obvious they are good friends. Guess Fox feels they need to promote Elisabeth a bit more.

I like Elisabeth, but Bill& Megyn are my New Year’s Eve tradition. I love their sibling-like chemistry. I’ll watch, but it won’t be the same.

I want Megyn and Bill to ring in the new year. Megyn is just so fun and their friendship and chemistry is fantastic. Elisabeth just looks like she wants to be home and in bed. Megyn and Bill are a super combination. I think even Ainsley or Kimberly would of been better. I do like Elisabeth for fox news just not New Years Eve.

I’m with you Melanie.
I can’t quite put my finger on it, but EH just doesn’t seem like a good fit for this NYE gig.
Perhaps it’s her lack of ad-libbing ability or her rather bland presence in this format. She’s perky enough, but most of her commenting left me really missing Megyn with so many more many stimulating things to say. She’s just a far better conversationalist.

Elisabeth seems nice but she just does not have what it takes for the job she is in. I hardly ever watch Fox and Friends anymore even though I love Brian and Steve. I loved it when Anna took her place over the holidays. Anna would have been a much better fit.
