Ali Velshi: [I] Miss Kiran Chetry Every Morning

Yesterday American Morning co-host Ali Velshi pined for Kiran Chetry, his  gorgeous, exotic former AM co-host. After her hubby, meteorologist Chris Knowles, appeared anew on A.M.: Wake-Up Call for a weather segment, Ali Tweeted, “@chrisknowlestv nice to see you on our air. Miss @KiranChetryTV every morning.” And who could blame him?

After Kiran tearfully left AM for a mysterious “very special opportunity” on July 29, he has co-hosted the program with Christine Romans and Carol Costello. For the cosmopolitan Kenyan-born Canadian, his two former Iowa farm girls may seem a mite too plain and prosaic in comparison–especially, if the lovely ladies’ recent dress and mien are any indication. On one hand, Christine, overly cloaked in her high-collared tops and school marm midis, appears determined to play the earnest advocate: On the other, Carol, too oft in her Kyra Phillips slacks and/or Mary Jane shoes, seems to strive to be the studied cynic.

Unfortunately for Ali, AM‘s Aphrodite has left the the Time Warner Center: And, the sexy Nepalese beauty has not been replaced. Only Kiran’s personally dubbed “resident fashionistaAlina Cho may have come somewhat close. But, alas, Ali was gone that day.

Missing Kiran, Ali? So do your American Morning viewers!

What a train wreck Carol Costello is. I can’t believe they dumped Kiran, who honestly wasn’t the sharpest tool in the drawer for Carol, the human emoticon, Costello, who is not even in the kitchen when it comes to intelligence.. Watching Costello is like watching some bad D-list actress overacting in a scene from a bad 1930’s era movie. I would really love to know what Carol Costello has on the brass at CNN to keep her job.

Kiran was easy on the eye, but staffers admitted months ago she was “dumb as a rock”. Then the story here during the royal wedding she was the “last man standing” during a drinking binge with other CNN anchors. Do wonder where she will end up, another network or a local station somewhere.

First of all what happened to Ali on Wake up”. I was thrilled to get up in the morning and watch Ali from 5am to 6am. Not thrilled with Carol Costello ( to animated & phoney ) or Christine Romans ( ( at least Christine has a brain ) as a replacement for Kiran. Neither Carol or Christine are up to snuff and American Morning has yet to impress me lately….if Ali was not there I would not even go there.

What is kiran chetry doing? I miss watching her every morning. I only watched because of kiran. Does anyone know where she is planning to go? I can’t wait to hear her voice and see her sexy legs.

What happened to freedom of speech??? I only watched the morning show for Ali and Christine . They always brought some background knowledge to what they were reporting. These three women you have on now are like Chatty Cathy dolls, especially Soladett (sp.?) She talks so fast and shows her opinion too much. It takes too much energy to listen to her. I don’t understand what she is saying half of the time!!

I guess it’s back to NBC or CBS. So sad, we have watched CNN for years. Words of advice – TREAT YOUR REPORTERS BETTER!!!!!!
    ALLOW THEM TO BE HUMAN!!!!!

  6. CNN’s Early Start: American Morning Again? « Carpe Diem Says:

[…] Carol Costello was a assuredly a morning CNN cellar dweller: But, at least, it was watchable (even minently so, at least, until AM’s last permanent co-host, comely Kiran Chetry, bid her fans namaskaar). […]
