Huddy Heads Home

According to JDP’s Breaking News, the smart, sassy, and sexy Juliet Huddy, will be back on Fox & Friends Friday. Her welcome return is even earlier than the author had envisioned. Even though new episodes of her cancelled FOX morning show (with Mike Jerrick), The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet, will run through June 2009, FNC’s Senior Vice President of Programming Bill Shine must be eager to return her to the F&F fold. If so, she will add some much needed depth to an all too shallow bench. (Is Mike waiting in the wings?)

Welcome back, Juliet!

This is wonderful news. I am hoping that she would replace Gretchen Carlson.

Maybe Juliet could replace Claytoon on Saturday and Sunday on Fox and Friends. Let’s hope.

  2. Kep Says:

If this is true, does this mean that Alisyn Camerota will be getting less airtime? The Mike and Juliet pairing on weekends was a winner, and I can’t imagine Jerrick not returning at some point. The weekend show has been rudderless ever since they left.

  3. jakeho Says:

Kep, Juliet is guest hosting on F&F not F&FW. Perhaps, you meant the weekday show has been rudderless since E.D. & Aly left.

  4. Al Says:

For what it’s worth, she’s guest hosted a few times since she went over to the big Fox network, so doing so this time probably doesn’t mean much of anything. Mike J has guest hosted, also.

As for the long haul, who knows? Doubtful she’d displace Alisyn Camerotta and not too likely she’d replace Gretchen Carlson, either, considering the weekday show’s ratings. Of course, maybe one of those two is ready to do something else.

  5. jakeho Says:

Al, I think that you are wrong on this one. Did you see the big welcome back to Juliet from Steve and Brian this morning for the benefit of new F&F fans?

  6. CathyG Says:

Am with Mary on this one and if I had to make a choice let’s loose Clayton and give her to the weekend team. She’s a bright sassy lady with personality. She and Aly could make a great team.

  7. Doc 22 Says:

Cathy G, couldn’t agree with you more!!!! Get rid of Clayton and Dave, put Mike with Aly and Juliet. If so,I might turn F&FW on again.

  8. G.R.I.T.S. Says:

I was happy to see Juliet again and thought she did great this morning! Also I think she’d help their weekend lineup. I’m not really crazy about Mike….he’s just a skosh too sleazy for me. He would be better than either Clayton or Dave, though, and Juliet would certainly be a welcome addition to the weekend couch.

I’ve also been seeing Rick Folbaum. I believe he had gone to the local Fox NYC station sometime back. Now looks to be back with Big Fox. So the musical chairs at Fox continues.

  9. Al Says:

On Alisyn’s blog Wednesday she said “I’m in for Gretchen today and tomorrow (not Friday when i get to sleep a tad later, yipee!)” and so we know that Juliet Huddy’s guest spot was planned. We also know Ms. Camerota was at work and on camera before today’s show ended… so maybe there was an on-air audition to check out the chemistry.

Still, I doubt it. I believe Fox has not replaced all of their talent whose contracts were not renewed and that’s why we see Rick Folbaum and others crossing over to related venues to fill-in. Camerota was on GDNY not long ago, too. Does that mean she’s moving? Probably nothing more than a cost-effective use of corporate resources.

  10. Hobson Says:

Sorry Gretchen bashers, but “Her Royal Thighness” recently renewed her contract for three more years.
She is THE star of the highest rated morning show on cable, she’s not going anywhere.
Get over your bitterness that Alisyn/Kiran/Juliet weren’t chosen to replace ED as the host of F&F.
Paige Hopkins and Alisyn would’ve been an excellent combo as the hosts of F&FW.
Perhaps Fox management is fearful that a female cast on the weekends would morph into “The View”.

  11. Gretchen Haters, Unrealistic As Ever « Boogiewoogee’s Weblog Says:

[…] 21, 2009 Sorry, Gretchen Carlson haters, but she’s not going anywhere, not as long as the show’s ratings stay high and even […]

  12. M. Davey Says:

Well, well, well! I have been wondering what was going on at Fox. Do you think that E.D. got the axe for good or could she return. I like Gretchen o.k., but she talks and talks and talks. And, I used to be so critical of Clayton, but he has really matured on F&FW.
Please don’t let them play musical hosts. Or maybe that would be just the thing it needs.

  13. jakeho Says:

    M. Davey, I fear that FNC deems E.D. over the hill. (Forgive me, but pun intended.) I concur with your analysis of Gretch and Clayton.

  14. Sheila Says:

How about two ladies and one guy on the weekend show. Keep Aly, bring in Juliet and Mike. That would be great television.

  15. Jon Says:

I love Mike and Juliet and am very sad to see their show go off the air this week. I am kind of hoping that they go back to Fox and Friends Weekend Saturday 5am – 7am & Sunday 6am – 9am. They could also use Studio D and have a live audience. The two of them are very talented and I wish them both well I have been a fan of theirs for 6 years now. I do not see Good Day New York Hour 5 doing better than the Morning Show did but who knows. Perhaps Mike and Juliet can get a job at Good Day New York

  16. JIM M. Says:

Get rid of carlson and mr.happy. bring in juliet and alisyn and you have got a winning team.(carlson sucks as bad as she did on cbs. , and don`t get me started on doochy)
