Dancing Dude: Dave or Clayton?

Fox & Friends co-hosts Dave Briggs and Clayton Morris dueled in an abecedarian dance-off today.* After being tutored by Cheryl Burke of Dancing with the Stars and then teaming with her, the Doublemen individually vied for dancing dude honors. According to this untrained eye, the contest was a virtual tie. However, early viewer returns and co-anchor Alisyn Camerota’s comments seemed to indicate a victory for Dave.

Did Dave defeat Clayton? Or do the viewers need a do-over with David* and his beauty Brandi taking on Clayton and his sweetie Sarah? Rematch, boys, with your real dance partners?

** Briggs: “David” to his wife and mother-in-law but “Dave” to everyone else.

I remember when a few of the NBC Nightly News anchors appeared on “Soul Train” back in 1977. Tom Brokaw, to my surprise, danced and ‘grooved’ quite well as did Jessica Savitch and a young Kenley Jones.

John Chancellor, as expected, did not do well. He did very poorly indeed.

  2. M. Davey Says:

I think Dave was quite serious, and Clayton, as usual, being funny. I think Dave might be the better dancer, but Clayton would be more fun on the floor.

I am getting quite used to Clayton. I now know, it was those girls that weren’t that good!

Hgb3, how did Howard K. Smith do?

    M. Davey, with Aly in control, I agree that Clayton seems to be steadily improving. He just needed a firmer hand than Ainsley tended to provide.

Btw, F&FW fans who didn’t see Sunday’s show, Dave won in a landslide of votes from e-mailers and Twitterers.
