F&FW Briggs Bonanza

Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Dave Briggs was personally involved in today’s news. And he let you know. From the proposed Auto Big 3 Bailout to the swimming-pool horse to the Barney-bitten victim, Briggs had a personal nexus.

When Alisyn Camerota asked a guest whether the American people should bail out the Detroit automakers or whether they should let them go bankrupt, the son-in-law of a large Colorado car dealership owner interrupted with a “yes” and “no” respectively. Later, when Aly reported a Cherry Hills Village, CO, horse-in-the-swimming-pool rescue, Dave said that his in-laws lived right down the road and that he had been past that house many times. Finally, when Aly read the news of the First Family’s Barney biting the Boston Celtics Public Relations Director Heather Walker, Dave revealed that Heather was his friend.

Perhaps, Dave’s bent on the bailout was a mite much (not too mention–quite transparent). Nevertheless, his personal anecdotes as to the rescued-horse house and the Barney-chow victim were vintage F&FW, i.e., news with a personal hook.

  1. Kep Says:

Briggs is okay. He definitely is the most conservative of the 3 hosts. He doesn’t have the best personality for a show like F&F Weekend, but I think the fact that he leans a little to the right on most stuff is the biggest reason for his hiring. They have a good balance on the show now, with one liberal (Clayton), one moderate (Alisyn) and the conservative, Dave Briggs. Fair and balanced if you ask me.

Kep, I agree that they have the “balance” thing going on, but I still cannot stand to watch that Clayton.
He’s still difficult to stomach, to me.

    Briggs is such a girl.

Some of us girls are smart, compassionate, tough and resourceful.

    Don’t be knocking us.

Dave Briggs WISHES he was a girrrrrrrrl. = )

  5. Boogiewoogee Says:

Sorry about that. Let’s just say that Briggs is whiny and kind of femmy.
