Think what you will of Karl Rove but the “Architect,” former Bush adviser and current Fox contributor, echoed what many Fox & Friends Weekend fans feel this morning. In a segment on Obama’s selection of Biden as veep pick, Rove said that he had been watching F&FW’s coverage intently. Dave Briggs wisecracked, “We’re flattered, Karl.” Rove riposted, “And I’m grateful you have adult supervision there in the form of Alisyn.”*
Aren’t we all? Or, at least, many of us.

Way to go Karl! You called it like we all see it. Fox needs to get rid of Dave and Clayton. They are just not the two that should be sitting there with Alisyn. She is so professional and the other two are clowns. Like I said, I need to see Page Hopkins back as well as Kelly Wright or Greg Kelly.

I heard that comment live, had to agree and wonder jake how long it would take you to post about it, lol! One would wonder what it will take for tptb to understand that everyone (except them obviously), sees the need to ouster those two. Like I said in a previous post, so many talented people on staff there for years, so many other choices available! I think if Julie Banderas ever subbed for Alisyn, she would not be as polite and put those two in their place. She takes no prisoners, lol. Anyone see her interview with that looney from the Westboro Baptist Church, Shirley Phelps Roper? Yikes!

We noticed that even though the Veep thing is a big story, the suits felt no need to call in the weekday team. But we would have preferred Steve and/or Brian knocking Claytoon and Dave off the curvy couch this morning.
At least with Aly, there was a professional on the set.

You are so right about Julie Banderas. She is a straight talking woman.
I guess we’ll never see adults on that Saturday show again. Dave does a better job than Clayton (Clayton just can’t resist the urge to make a silly comment or pun), but he is not all that good and is too familiar with all the people. I guess they can call them by their first names, but it surely does sound cheesy. It’s like they’ve been there such a short time and calling Karl Rove, “Karl”?
Well, fall is coming up, so maybe Fox will put away the beginners (guys in addition to the girls) and go back with the grown-ups. It’s been a painful summer.
I know I said I wasn’t going to watch again and I barely watch the Saturday and Sunday show, but I just have to peek now and again to see what’s going on.

I’m glad I skipped almost the whole show …
It’s just too painful to watch with that IDIOT Clayton on there … I still have yet to figure out WTF Ailes hired him …

It is getting more and more difficult to watch Clayton……

I no longer watch on Saturday and only caught a few minutes of the Sunday show. Even though I love Rick and Aly, I just can’t stomach Dull and Obnoxious. What’s worse—Dull was on while Brian was out last week. So they have really screwed up my F&F watching. We can only hope that this was a terribly bad summer experiment gone wrong. I tend to believe, however, that this is the group they’ll stay with—at least for the foreseeable future. Looks like Greg has settled in on his local gig. He really seems to enjoy it. (It can be caught on live stream.) Kelly turns up every now and then—but with no real regularity. Poor Page is still in the basement somewhere hoping that she’ll be let out on good behavior. My suggestion is to add Page to the couch along with Rick and ditch the two frat boys. IMO they’d make a much better team. Watchable anyhow.

I watched a little bit of F & F Sunday before church this a.m. and it was the proper moment. Once again….A prayer went up for Clayton that he just can remain in his darned seat and not get up to demonstrate everything they talk about. Aly…talking about Fergie of BEP, walking on the treadmill at it’s highest incline and walking slowly while squeezing her backside. As soon as that was said, Clayton jumps up, obscures Alisyn and I think they were forced to go with it. I really can’t see where that added anything.
He just can’t seem to learn! Can you please put him on Red Eye, for people who have that sense of humor. I can’t take it anymore.
