Replacing Gretchen Carlson (on a ten-day vacation),* the “ringless” Ainsley Earhardt is back on the Fox & Friends curvy couch with a more assertive, confident, and carefree attitude. Sitting between F&F co-anchor Steve Doocy and guest host co-host Clayton Morris, she seems quite comfortable in the center seat. To boot, even though she’s clad in a rather conservative above-the-knee plum dress with a slightly plunging neckline, Ainsley exudes a friskier and sexier edge.
FNC programming Bill Shine seems to be impressed with the new Ainsley: he has been returning her to his F&F (and F&FW) rotation more and more. With Ainsley in the line-up, he can give his over-worked reliever, Alisyn Camerota, a bit more rest. (Not too much, Bill!)
Laurels, Ainsley!

This shows Fox still has plans for Ainsley.
My hope is she goes to F&F when Megyn Kelly goes on maternity leave, with either Aly or Gretchen going to AN. then, when Megyn comes back, she goes to prime time to replace Greta and Ainsley stays on F&F.
Ainsley has paid her dues and is a good soldier.
She deserves a hosting job.
Doocy is HOGGING today’s show, though.

Your hopes may well be realized. However, if either Aly or Gretch go to AN, Shine should pick Gretch. She performs better one-on-one, and Aly excels in the F&F format.

I agree, Jake
Aly on F&F and Ainsley on F&FW would be fine by me.

AN = America’s Newsroom? Where has it been said they are moving one of them?

So.. do you think Ainsley is separated or Divorced? She is seems truly as beautiful inside as she is obviously outside. And I do love how up beat she is. It has/had to be hard with her hubby living back in Texas.

Anisley Airhead is not ready for prime time. I also think Fox needs to get rid of Gretchen. O’Reilly has her on as a “culture warrior”, and she sucks at that. Gretwitch is not a culture warrior by any means.
Since F and F weekends managed to get rid of Page Hopkins, it has not been the same. Don’t get me wrong, I love Alisyn, but she is the only one that can do that show since Page left. Dave and Claytoon are two clowns and they need to go as well.
Where is Juliet Huddy? Why not add her to F and F? She is so much better than Ainsley Airhead.

Mary, sorry I have to disagree with you on all counts. I think Ainsley is beautiful and definitely an attraction that will get guys to tune in. I also think Aly, Clayton and Dave are doing a terrific job. You may not get their sense of humor, or like their presentation style but a lot of other people do and they enjoy the weekend show tremendously.

Clayton Morris is to me what Robert Goulet was to Elvis.

Of course Dave you would disagree with me about Ainsley. That is a given. Guys are all ready “tuning” in for Alisyn, they love her as well as the female viewers. We all love Alisyn!
The weekend F and F improved since Ainsley Airhead left the middle chair and Alisyn came to the rescue to get the ratings back up. If it wasn’t for Alisyn the show would have slipped in the ratings. Again Dave and Claytoon are clowns, they need to go. When Kelly Wright was there with Page, it was more professional news.
Ainsley is ok doing investigating reports for Sean Hannity, but she is not ready for the middle seat on the curvy couch again.

Has Ainsley confirmed, or has any news outlet reported, that she is getting divorced? (Forgive my caution here, but I am always suspicious about commercial motives when beautiful young anchorettes remove their wedding rings.)
Can anyone cite any source that shows how F&FW’s ratings have moved over time (say, since the Juliet era), and how they’ve done under the various anchors combos? (Jake — thanks for the TVbythe numbers cite, but it only gives show by show ratings for weekdays, as far as I can tell.)
I’d like to see Ainsley in the F&FW middle seat, with two more mature, serious news professional types (or at least one) surrounding her.

Ah Mary,
See you’ve got to get the last word in lol. Still disagree with you on all points.

Not sure about Ainsley yet. I did sense some tension between Dave and her a couple times this morning. When that woman was there talking about lead in toys, etc., everytime Ainsley would comment or ask a question Dave just moved on and acted like she wasn’t even there. I don’t see good chemistry with the three.
Alisyn was gone last weekend and now again this weekend. Is she gone? I hope not.
As for Gretchen, she needs to go! She is just too loud and shrill. I have no idea how she came out of nowhere and took that job right out from under someone like Kiran Chetry. I’m sure that’s why Kiran left the network. It was an insult. I can’t stand Gretchen’s stupid words like “yipee skippy” and “kazillions”. Sounds like a 3rd grader! And when she is interviewing and reporting on, for instance, a story about a child that is sad, she acts like she is going to cry, in fact, she has a couple times. You just don’t do that. And that giggle she injects when doing the news or at inappropriate times is completely annoying.

Aaaaah! my cuddly southern bell is doing F&F, happy and free of her baggage, that is husband.
Darn! I didnt know her husband was in Texas?
July 19, 2009 at 7:22 am
You won’t be seeing either Gretchen being Megyn’s fill-in. She has NEVER filled in during AN and she wouldnt make a good pairing with BH. Ally sucked too being paired with BH a while back.
July 23, 2009 at 7:26 pm
Boy, everyone hates Gretchen! I think she is a little bit loud, but I really don’t mind her down-home words. It is a light news show and has fun news as well as serious news.
I don’t think Gretchen is ready for prime-time, though. I think Megyn could handle any of the programs.
But,….I do feel rather bad when people talk about replacing Greta. I think Greta has a strange speech pattern and she’s not a show-girl, but I do love the way she delves into a story and keeps it going. I wish she’d come to Pensacola to report on the Melanie and Byrd Billings story. (the couple who got killed in a home invasion). I think Greta could’ve given us insight like we need.

Ainsley will be hosting America’s Newsroom at 6 p.m. Saturday
First show other than F&F
Good news for Ainsley fans

Motownman, a belated thanks for your Ainz bulletin.
