PolRepOp – it’s unnecessary to qualify Ayers’s status as a terrorist, since he himself has admitted it. The ONLY reason this piece of filth and his skanky wife weren’t convicted is because of an “improper surveillance technicality.” The female member of the Boogie clan was born and grew up a few blocks from the townhouse that Ayers and Ahern’s co-terrorists blew up. They deserve to rot in hell.

PRO, I think the differnce for Alan Colmes is that his show is about the left and the right views of both hosts, and they do not try to disguise it as a “newscast”, kwim? More of a debateable hour of current topics. Clayton is on a morning news show, not really supposed to be showing his hand, so to speak. Problem is, he fails miserably at it. As far as fair and balanced, that is up to the guests they have to show both sides of the issues, not the preferences of the hosts. At least I believe that is what it should be……sigh.

Political Republican Opinion-Clayton has a liberal background, but I think he comes across as fair most of the time. The Charlie Gibson portion of your post was excellent! The question about “killing defective fetuses” fits perfectly with the attitude of liberals and their 100% pro-abortion views. Hey, that would be a perfect question for Kiran to ask of Palin sometime in the future. It would be even more effective with a fellow female grilling her on that one! Liberal women in the media are taking this Palin stuff personally. Lots of men don’t like her, but the women, oh man, talk about the long sharp claws coming out!

Boogiewogee – I think you misunderstood my comments. Of course Bill Ayers is a terrorist. I have a funny feeling (although I must say for the record that I am in no way endorsing violence of any kind) that the exposure that Ayers has gained may lead to a fate for him worse than a stay at Camp Gitmo.

I was merely pointing out the fact that Fox News had to use that term so that they could claim to be unbiased.I would love to see news programs tell it like it is.

For instance, “Hi, I’m Charlie Gibson and I am a Left-leaning “journalist” for the radically Liberal network ABC. Today we will be interviewing Sarah Palin, a woman that I detest for a myriad of reasons that I will enumerate on as the interview progresses. My first question to you, Mrs. Palin, is why do you hate the notion of killing defective fetuses so much?”

Alan Colmes has no problem with freely and proudly admitting that he is a Liberal. Fair is fair, don’t you think?

Nice try, Political “Republican” Opinion, except that Ayers has publicly ADMITTED that he participated in bombings and, ergo, is a terrorist. He should be rotting in Gitmo or federal prison, not playing political big boy in suburban Chicago.

By your convoluted logic, Usama bin Laden isn’t a terrorist either, but only a “so-called” one.

Anyone who thinks Ayers is nothing short of human garbage should be publically flogged.

Yeah, head down the tv dial to CNN, MSNBC. They’d *love* him. He could then hang out with his lib buddies, and sneer at the rest of the world together- and we’d not have to suffer through him on Fox.

I thought the same thing when I heard it. My take was a little different, however.

I think the expression “so-called” was used to try to maintain an image of balance. It allowed him to get out the terrorist connection without really calling Ayers one. It would be hard to maintain a “fair and balanced” facade if Clayton would have said, “terrorist Bill Ayers.”

My favorite Ayers story? The NY Times article in which he was quoted as regretting that he and the WU didn’t blow up even *more* buildings. That article? It was published in the NY Times on September 11, 2001.
